Recovering Files Lost After Changing OneDrive Folder Location
I lost my files on OneDrive after restoring the location to default. Here’s what happened: I set the Desktop location back to its default to remove the "OneDrive" keyword from the path. I clicked "OK" despite some warnings. As a result, all my folders on the Desktop disappeared. When I checked the OneDrive website, the files weren’t there either (I suspect the OneDrive sync hadn’t completed before I made the changes). How can I resolve this issue and restore my files?
Opening OneDrive files from Finder on Mac does not enable Autosave like on Windows.
Hello all. I am having an issue with using OneDrive on Mac. If I open a file, say a Word doc or PowerPoint, on OneDrive through Finder, the Autosave feature will not be on by default. If I do the same action on Windows through file explorer, it opens with Autosave turned on. When I try to turn on Autosave in Word, it prompts me to upload a new version onto OneDrive. This would make a new copy. And that new copy, if opened from Finder, still will not have autosave turned on. However, when I open the file from within the Word application or Excel or PowerPoint, autosave is turned on automatically. I would like for files opened from my OneDrive folder in Finder to open with Autosave turned on by default. This is how it works on Windows.Column Validation Evaluation Changes
Hello! I'm wondering if I am going crazy, but I have seen breaking changes to a couple of client tenancies where column validation is now occurring for any item/file creation or modification event. This was not happening a month or so ago, and I've got evidence of that with files being able to be placed in a library previously, and not, now. This is because it is clearly trying to validate on column information that is not entered by the (flow) creation of the file. If I were to try to deal with this INSIDE the validation formula for all my lists, ever ... this could effectively cripple me! 😅 --- I'm not posting a problem that needs fixing, here, so please, I do not need to be asked what I have and haven't tried ... I'm simply asking if others have noted a similar thing happening.
some account can't upload files to Onedrive.
Some previously created accounts cannot upload files to OneDrive, but newly created accounts can. The uploadurl for the old account is“ https://my.microsoftpersonalcontent.com/personal........”,while the upload address for new account is “https://api.onedrive.com/rup/........”,and I didn't send the Authorization header and bearer token when i issue the POST or PUT call. I only send it when I issue the GETcall.is anyone know why and how can I solve it?Recent files
Recent files show files have been accessed today within minutes of this message. I have not accessed these files in most cases in months and in some cases years. I have tried Microsoft support but they haven't been able to help. Example: I have a word document called AC placement. I have not opened that document in more than a month. In the Recent area it shows that I accessed that document at 3:20 PM today, minutes before this post. I have excel document callled Sprinklers which I have not opened in 6 months. It lists ti as opened on 10/19/2023 at 12:10 PM. I am trying to understand if there is a probelm with oneDrive or is someone else accessing my documents through oneDrive.
Sharepoint link not resolving in OWA
I have been directed to sharepoint forum from the Outlook forum, below is what I posted in the outlook forum. This had worked until recently, now any file I share, the outlook web app only shows a non-clickable url. Previously it resolved the url to the name and was clickable. If I cut and paste the link back into the same email that has been opened by the sharepoint process, it resolves to the name. If from sharepoint, I copy the link, i can paste it into word/excel/owa successfully. Any user I have asked to test, gets the same experience. Issue with any word, excel, pdf, ppt these are the common extension types used in our organisation No recent update or change, user reported this in 21/10/2024 and indicated that her method had stopped working two weeks prior, so estimate something changed around early october. I was hoping that it was a microsoft "enhancement" that would be fixed by now. Please see attached document for screenshots Hope you can help
Microsoft Lists format Section of related Columns as same color
I have a created a Microsoft List. There are sections of related questions ie column fields. In Configure Layout, Format Body, I have added JSON code to display sections for the fields. which looks great when entering as a form. In the web app, for the end user to make it easier to fill out, for each Section I would like to display the same color for the related columns. And for the next section of related columns apply a different colour etc Note some columns have Conditional formatting rules applied eg see screenshot of example done in Excel of Section column layout to achieve How can this be achieved. TIAfinding photos by date on One Drive
On the All Photos page the search field states: Find photos by date, tags, location and more. However, when I type in a date it shows zero results even though I have many photos with that date on my OneDrive. I use the same format OneDrive uses. For example: Dec 24, 2023 Any suggestions?
