Why doesn't outlook automatically activate "automatic responses" when an user sets an appointment on the calender with an "out of office" status. Literally the entire premise for automatic responses is for when an user is out of the office, so how is this not an existing feature? Another option would be to have a checkbox or an option to select "send automatic responses" when creating the appointment, or upon selecting "out of office" as the "show as" status.3Views0likes0CommentsOutlook for Windows: Timelines, Benefits, and Feature Availability
Yes, some end-users either "love or just hate" New Outlook for Windows. However, it is here to stay (respectfully said), and I am here to help you with the transition. Microsoft has announced the next stage, Opt-Out Stage, dates for 2025 and 2026 for work and school accounts. I have created a video that discusses my perspective on "What's Ahead in 2025 and Why It Matters" for you and your organization. I also cover feature availability by status. Video: https://youtu.be/QJBf_FPyBKk Remember, for the free Outlook accounts, the transition starts in January 2025, when you can no longer return to Classic Outlook. I have a video playlist with tutorials if you are interested. 📹Video Playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLz10kTfM1gnF3x6mcGVfMX-51urg9a1lt&si=jrzVMJ9ikh0RPY1U 📹Outlook Updates Playlist: New Outlook Updates - YouTube traccreation4e 10/10/2024129Views0likes0CommentsOutlook Mobile Delegate can Access Private Items
Hello all, I have the following challenge as an M365-Admin, please help me find a solution: The management team in my company have assistants. The assistants are given Full Access to the EXO Mailbox via the EXO AC. When a person from management team is sending emails which are marked as private they (the assistants) connot see these emails on their desktop outlook client - but when they access the delegated mailbox via outlook for android or ios (or on the web), they can see/view the private messages. what is the reason for that and how can i fix this? Thanks in advance410Views0likes2CommentsMobile app Sub folder notifications
We have pushed all our users to use Outlook mobile apps on iOS and Android, however many are complaining that they have created rules on the Outlook desktop client to put emails in certain sub folders (i.e. all emails from my manager go into a sub folder) and not getting notifications. As the email is moved to the folder before it gets to the client, the mobile apps do not display a notification. As a work around I've had to set up some Flows so that if email received from a certain email address, it displays a notification. The user can then open Outlook and go to the relevant folder. Its not pretty. This seems like a basic feature, its available in the iOS and Android stock mail apps which most used before we pushed them to Outlook. Any plans on the mobile apps to have notifications for sub folders?253KViews20likes107CommentsSharepoint News images not showing in Outlook mobile when sent as digest email
I have had this issue for several years now. I have gone through all the MS troubleshooting tips to ensure images are enabled in Outlook and iOS..etc.. I have created an email digest with Power Automate of the days News articles posted in sharepoint. It sends an email that is nicely visible in OWA and Desktop with thumnails of the image for each article beside the article. When i open the email on my iPhone using Outlook app, the thumbnails are replaced by the standard missing image thumbnail. If a user posts a news article but uses a photo from the Stock Images repository, it comes through just fine. I noticed those images are stored on a CDN as opposed to our sharepoint site. My phone is registered in our AAD. Always updated with most recent iOS and App version. I can use the Sharepoint App on phone and view the news webpart with all images just fine so I know it is not my phone itself.. also same issue on a few coworker's phone that I've asked. Even after signed in to sharepoint on phone, images still do not appear in the email. Driving me nuts.. any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Joe1.3KViews0likes2CommentsOutlook Mobile Features
Hello everyone. My firm has recently moved from Blackberry Work to Outlook Mobile with Intune for our mobile email solution (yes we are using the other features of Intune as well). I cannot seem to find anything about two features that a couple of partners have asked about. Blackberry Work had the ability to click on an email and create a calendar entry from it with the body of the email in the calendar info and any attachments would get automatically attached to the calendar entry. Is there a way to do this in Outlook Mobile? On the desktop there is a QuickPart that you can add to your menus to do it but I don't see anything on the Mobile app. On the desktop app you can hit Send and File for an email which sends the email and then lets you file the email to a folder. Is there a way to do this on the mobile app? I've looked and cannot find anything? Is there a way to BCC yourself automatically on all emails sent from the Outlook Mobile app? If these features do not exist... Microsoft you should add them. The mobile app is so similar to the desktop app, I am surprised that there are things that are missing from the mobile app (like the Notes in Outlook desktop). So weird. Also, why doesn't Outlook automatically populate your mobile app with the desktop signatures? Seems an easy thing to do. We are making a change to default file open operations that take place on Android and iOS devices when users open Word, Excel, PowerPoint files from Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.Customers have let us know that there is uncertainty about how files should be opened considering that the Microsoft 365 mobile app has the built-in ability to open and create Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files.3.5KViews1like1Comment
