The sun had just begun its descent, casting a golden hue over the city. The living room was bathed in this soft, warm light, creating a serene atmosphere that made the stresses of the day melt away. You and Alessia had spent the afternoon lounging around, catching up on a TV series you both loved. It was one of those rare days when neither of you had any obligations, and you could simply enjoy each other's company.

Alessia, ever the comforter, had suggested you both lay down on the couch together. She'd positioned herself first, her back against the armrest, then pulled you down so your head rested on her chest. The rhythmic sound of her heartbeat was incredibly soothing, and you could feel the rise and fall of her breaths.

As the episodes played on, you found it increasingly difficult to keep your eyes open. Alessia's fingers ran through your hair gently, the repetitive motion lulling you into a state of complete relaxation. You mumbled something about needing to stay awake, but Alessia just chuckled softly and told you it was okay to rest.

You hadn't intended to fall asleep, but the comfort of Alessia's arms, combined with the steady beat of her heart and the warmth of her body, was too much to resist. Your eyelids grew heavier and heavier until finally, you succumbed to the drowsiness.

When you woke up, the room was darker, the sun having fully set. The TV was still on, playing an episode you had no memory of starting. Alessia was still beneath you, her arms wrapped protectively around your form. You shifted slightly, feeling a pang of guilt for falling asleep on her.

"Hey," Alessia's voice was a soft whisper, and you realised she was awake. "How was your nap?"

"I'm sorry," you said, your voice thick with sleep. "I didn't mean to fall asleep on you."

She smiled, her hand moving to cup your cheek. "Don't apologise. You looked so peaceful, I didn't have the heart to wake you."

You blushed, burying your face in her chest. "Thank you," you murmured, feeling the warmth of her skin against your cheek.

Alessia pressed a kiss to the top of your head. "Anytime, love. Besides, I quite enjoyed having you in my arms."

You looked up at her, meeting her gaze. Her eyes were filled with a tenderness that made your heart swell. "I could get used to this," you admitted softly.

She chuckled, the sound vibrating through her chest. "Good, because I plan on holding you like this as often as I can."

You smiled, closing your eyes again as you let yourself relax into her embrace. There was no place you would rather be than right here, wrapped up in Alessia's arms, feeling loved and cherished.

The rest of the evening passed in a blissful haze. You stayed cuddled up on the couch, talking about everything and nothing, sharing soft kisses and quiet laughter. It was moments like these that made you realise just how lucky you were to have Alessia in your life.

As the night grew darker, you found yourself growing sleepy again. Alessia noticed and adjusted her position slightly, making sure you were comfortable. "Go ahead and sleep, darling," she whispered. "I've got you."

You nodded, too tired to protest. "I love you, Alessia," you mumbled, already half-asleep.

"I love you too, more than anything," she replied, her voice filled with sincerity.

With those words, you drifted off once more, feeling completely safe and loved in Alessia's arms. And as you slept, Alessia held you close, her heart full of love for the person she cherished most in the world.
