Space mission briefing 3 Team: Cshark s.r.l and partners Mission: ANT-1 --- Objective: To demonstrate the feasibility of a Ku-band link between a small user terminal and a ground station (Gateway), paving the way for the development of a high throughput satellite constellation based on CubeSats. --- Mission plan: A 3U Cubesat, based on CSHARK's proprietary bus, derived from the company's PocketQube systems, will launch on a SpaceX Transporter mission in July 2025. This is a 2-year In-Orbit Demonstration (IOD) mission to assess communication in the Ku-Band. --- About the team: The ANT-1 mission team is composed of 15 in-house technical experts from CHSARK, along with external partners in several companies and the University of Nottingham. --- How satsearch is being used in this mission: The team used satsearch to research and identify an ADCS supplier for this mission, in the form of satsearch Trusted Supplier Tensor Tech. --- We'd like to wish the best of luck to CSHARK and the whole mission team for the next steps with this project. And if you'd like to find out how we can help accelerate your mission in 2025, head to satsearch.com today :)

Take a look at how replacing the ISS with commercial alternatives could drive major developments in the space industry for years to come 👇 Recently updated due to the latest news by Axiom Space
Hello hello and happy new year to you! ICYMI: at the end of 2024 Axiom Space and NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration announced some updates in the ISS replacement/upgrade roadmap. Instead of sequentially adding 4 station modules to the ISS, and then detaching this collection to form a free-flying station, Axiom now intends to change the order and speed with which the modules will be able to act as a new station, to accelerate the timelines. To reflect this updated plan, we've updated our comprehensive overview of commercial space stations that features details of all the currently announced private replacements and alternatives to the ISS, along with space station technologies also coming to market in the next few years. NASA's human Moon missions will target the Lunar South Pole (LSP) to maximize line-of-sight communication with Earth, solar visibility, and access to water ice. At this location, the highest possible Sun elevation is 7°, which presents a harsh lighting environment for astronauts. https://lnkd.in/etvAbE4a

Following its record-breaking closest approach to the Sun, NASA’s Parker Solar Probe has transmitted a beacon tone back to Earth indicating it’s in good health and operating normally. The team was out of contact with the spacecraft during closest approach, which occurred on Dec. 24, with Parker Solar Probe zipping just 3.8 million miles from the solar surface.
