Services strategisch management
Adviseur en investeerder voor de toekomst.
Over ons

𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗨𝗖𝗜 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱! We’re proud to announce that BEAT Cycling Club has won the UCI Cycling for All & Sustainability Award, receiving the prestigious Rainbow Award! This recognition highlights their commitment to sustainability and using top-class sport to inspire change. BEAT Cycling Club is a subsidiary of Rebel, where Twan van Schie and Edwin Gulickx manage and organise its sustainability efforts. One of BEAT’s standout initiatives was their sustainable training camp, where riders, staff, and equipment traveled by train from the Netherlands to Girona, Spain. It’s part of their mission to lead by example and encourage others—teams and individuals alike—to take steps toward sustainability. This year, they also released one of the first-ever Sustainability Reports in cycling, along with a mini-report for broader accessibility. Combined with our Sustainability Playbook, these efforts set a strong foundation for a more sustainable future. “𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯," Geert Broekhuizen, founder and CEO, says, "𝘐𝘵 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘣𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵, 𝘴𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵. At OLX, a platform for used goods, sustainability goes hand in hand with growth. Together with Rebel, OLX developed a long-term strategy based on CSRD's dual materiality analysis. Maxine van Grootel, ESG Manager at OLX, shared: "𝘙𝘦𝘣𝘦𝘭 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥-𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘴𝘰. 𝘐𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯." The result? A clear framework with four strategic pillars: circular economy, economic opportunities, a safe platform, and talent development. This provides a shared language within the company, as well as concrete plans for the future. Want to know more about how we elevate sustainability together? Rebel and Equitable Maritime Consulting (EMC) are working on an important study for the African Green Ports Forum (AGPF), aiming to decarbonize Africa's maritime sector! 🌍⚓ This initiative aligns with the African Union's goals for sustainable development and climate resilience. The project will assess selected African ports, comparing their current infrastructure with global green port standards. We'll also explore renewable energy opportunities and provide technical advice to implement cleaner, more sustainable practices. A key part of this project includes capacity-building to ensure long-term sustainability of these green practices. Together, we're driving a more sustainable future for African ports! If you would like to know more, please contact Johan-Paul Verschuure. Comic made by Ivan Ehlers #GreenPorts #Sustainability #MaritimeInnovation #ClimateResilience #RenewableEnergy #Africa

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁 (𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵)𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝟱𝟱% 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗢𝟮 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟱𝟬% 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀? This is a major challenge facing the road construction sector, making collaboration crucial. The Nationaal Platform Duurzame Wegverharding (National Platform for Sustainable Road Surfacing) unites all existing initiatives in this field, provides direction, strives to accelerate progress, and shows where to start or stop. Rebels Emile Barendregt and Britt Zandbergen work for the Nationaal Platform Duurzame Wegverharding and are responsible for the “Procurement and Commissioning” program line. Currently, they are working on a sector-wide procurement strategy for sustainable road surfacing. This includes a standardized and ready-to-use approach for municipalities, provinces, Water Authorities, and Rijkswaterstaat. By procuring sustainably in a consistent way, we can work more efficiently, give market parties clear expectations, and achieve our goals more easily. However, these networks face increasing risk from natural hazards, making resilience a top priority. By assessing these vulnerabilities and designing more resilient projects, we can enhance the safety and reliability of our roadways. Last year, Rebels Allan Naibei, FMVA® and Rob Winters conducted a Climate risk assessment for road upgrading project in Kenya. Here is what they achieved: https://lnkd.in/dAZ9RY-9 Rebel - No Change Without a Rebel #ThrowbackThursday #ClimateRiskAssessment #RoadSafety #Africa
