I got to try the Frame today (thanks to Assaf from JOYA Team) at the Microoptics Summit in Amsterdam, organized by the PHABULOuS Pilot Line.🤙 Despite the Harry Potter character look and feel, I like what Brilliant Labs and Bobak T. have done with the open source design - the KISS rule brilliantly (pun intended) applied to AR smart glasses. Can’t wait to see what other designs may derive from this work! 👓 😎 Check out 👉 https://brilliant.xyz/ for more.

Dear LinkedIn friends! Today I want to raise an issue not many want to talk about: Customer dissatisfaction with our work. As a company that provides services to other companies, we always try to understand what our customers think and feel about our work. Often, we are locked within the conception of our perspective and don’t see how it looks from the customer perspective. Recently, a customer expressed dissatisfaction with our work, and we felt there was a misunderstanding that we were not aware of. So, what we decided to do now is to take this as an opportunity to improve and grow. Here are some steps that we decided to take: 1. Reach Out with Empathy and Clarity: Connect with the customer directly to hear out their concerns and understand exactly where the expectations diverged. This will help to pinpoint what they needed versus what was delivered. A phone call or video meeting can often make this feel more personal. 2. Review the Process: Go back to the initial scope, contracts, and project brief to see if there’s any ambiguity that could have caused the misunderstanding. Look into whether the customer’s feedback highlights areas in our communication, documentation, or project management that could be clarified. 3. Conduct an Internal Review: Have an internal meeting to identify possible areas of improvement—this could relate to the project timeline, deliverable quality, or customer interaction. If the feedback reveals a gap in the process, brainstorm ways to prevent it in the future. 4. Improve Communication of Technical Details: Sometimes, highly technical projects can leave clients feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood. We generally prefer frequent updates and presentations during meetings (on-line or live) over reports where we explain the choices made in accessible terms. 5. Develop a Feedback System: Introduce a proactive feedback loop where customers can share their customer feedback via a Customer Experience Form that we would ask our customers to fill. We want to learn if there are patterns that we can reveal and what are the issues we need to work on and improve. 6. Offer a Resolution: After gathering information, circle back to the customer with a proposal for a resolution. This could be a correction, an additional service, or some other form of gesture to restore their trust. Sometimes just showing that you value their opinion and feedback does the trick. Would be great to know what do you think about feedback forms, or other forms of feedback? Worked with JOYA Team in the past and want to contribute to our learning process? Comment below and the form is on its way to you… #cutomerfeedback #cooperation #teamwork

I recently developed a custom calibration and measurement setup for a client's binocular systems, tailored for AR, VR, HUDs, and surgical loupes. This setup features a large-aperture lens (approximately 100 mm) and is designed to accurately calibrate binocular convergence/divergence/Roll at various focal positions, helping to eliminate fatigue and headache issues associated with non-calibrated binocular AR systems. If this interests you, please reach out—we'd be happy to discuss how we can support your needs #AR #ARVR #opticalsetup #JOYATEAM

Next week, we’ll host the first online meeting for the Israeli chapter of the Society for Information Display (SID), open to everyone involved in Israel’s hardware display tech sector including AR/VR/MR tech. This is a great chance to connect, exchange knowledge, and actively shape this community. Our goal is to create a strong, supportive network to empower each member with technical and business connections. If you’re interested, please reach out to Yuval Ofir or me. We’re excited to make this SID Israel chapter a dynamic hub for innovation and growth in Israel’s display tech industry! Society For Information Display #displaytech #arvr

Have you seen the new Optical Simulation tool from Synopsys Optical Solutions? It's called ImSym. It's an Imaging System Simulator - industry's first Complete Virtual Prototyping Platform for imaging systems. This innovative simulation platform helps design teams collaborate more effectively and bring their cutting-edge imaging products to market faster. Check out the press release with my quote after being part of the Alpha testing group, getting the first-row tickets to learn how this tool works and providing my feedback and ideas of where it can develop next. It's exciting for JOYA Team to be able to take part and in this Alpha evaluation and have a chance to influence the development so we can get more value as users. https://lnkd.in/dUWfE49p Additional information about the applications and benefits, a demo video, upcoming tech talks announcements and more can be found on the product page here: https://lnkd.in/dAvxkjWV #opticaldesign #systemengineering #imsym #virtualprototype
