Last week, we attended SREday Amsterdam and connected with hundreds of engineers from across Europe. We had insightful conversations about challenges like the diversity of IaC, achieving a unified view of cloud infrastructure, and fostering collaboration with security and compliance teams. Our CEO, Idan Yalovich, presented Bluebricks' thesis on how SREs can implement sustainable infrastructure using four core principles. Check out the link below to download Idan's keynote 👇👇👇 https://lnkd.in/d6Ruc7vn

“Think of Bluebricks Atomic Infrastructure as a service mesh, or a set of blueprints that are semantically related..” Idan Yalovich, Bluebricks founder and CEO, talked with Joab Jackson about Atomic Infrastructure and how to overcome provisioning hurdles in production environments. #devops #sre 🟦

"Planning is more than just having a Plan" Check out our brand new Planner 😍
So, what's the Plan? In today’s cloud-first landscape, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) has transformed how we build, deploy, and scale systems. And at the heart of IaC is the Terraform Plan, a powerful tool for managing changes to cloud infrastructure. But as organizations scale, relying solely on static plans introduces serious challenges. Complex environments, collaboration gaps, and operational conflicts can make infrastructure provisioning difficult. Why do static plans fall short? 1. 🌐 Complexity Overload: Larger environments lead to overwhelming plans that obscure critical insights. 2. ⚡️ Collaboration Gaps: In large organizations with multiple specialized teams, miscommunication increases the risk of unintended consequences, as changes made by one team can affect others. 3. 🛠️ Operational Conflicts: In fast-moving environments, a Plan reflects only the infrastructure state at the moment of creation. As infrastructure rapidly evolves, the plan becomes outdated, leading to state drift and conflicts, especially when teams lack proper communication. 🌟 Enter the Bluebricks Planner 🌟 We’ve reimagined how teams interact with Terraform plans, turning complex code into clear, actionable insights. From visualizing plans to facilitating seamless collaboration across teams, the Planner helps DevOps overcome the inherent limitations of traditional Terraform planning. 🔗 Ready to see how Bluebricks Planner can help your team? Bluebricks פרסם מחדש את זה
This month marks 12 years in the high-tech industry for me - I vividly recall my first interview. About a year ago, I realized it was time for a change from the corporate world, at least for the moment. The bureaucracy and organizational politics had worn me down. While I enjoyed the work I was doing, it felt limited to a small piece of the larger puzzle. I knew the next step was either a startup or pursuing independence. Over these 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with incredible people and learning from inspiring managers. I’ve made lifelong friends (even if coordinating a meetup can take months - that’s the mark of true friendship), and every workplace has felt like a home. And like that, in the midst of life’s chaos, I found myself joining a startup - Bluebricks, a team that started with just 4 people. Fast forward to today, and we’re now 13 strong. The rapid growth has been extraordinary, and after 4 months as Head of Operations, I’ve come to appreciate my enterprise experience more than ever. The dynamics here are a world apart from what I knew. In a startup, everyone wears multiple hats. Success and pressure are shared by all, and the intensity is palpable. It’s a close-knit family, working together around the clock, even if not always physically. Amid the startup hustle, my inner entrepreneur recognizes the need for a stable foundation, strategic planning, and streamlined processes from day one. The real challenge is balancing the urge to move quickly with the need to do so smartly and steadily: ✔ Recruiting the right talent fast while make sure it’s accurate, ✔ Building efficient processes without drowning in bureaucracy ✔ Passing SOC2 audits with minimal disruption to the team ✔ Making prompt yet accurate decisions ✔ and most important - Staying focused while capturing every opportunity. The beauty of this experience lies in the collaboration. Imagine a startup that moves swiftly but operates with the meticulous processes of an enterprise. We’re talking forward planning, structured sprints, detailed tickets, accurate design, clear processes, and well defined roles and responsibilities. Everything is documented and transparent, even if we’re all working from the same room. This structured approach fosters a productive environment where we can focus on the product and writing code. Growing a team brings its own set of challenges, as every new addition subtly alters the dynamic. That’s why we choose our team members carefully - even if it means collaborating with talent from across the globe, or different cultures. Our unique team is built from individuals who see themselves as part of a family, who embrace commitment, and who are eager to contribute to our evolving journey. Expertise, excellence, and the ability to enjoy a good beer are essential here. Stay tuned for updates and follow our Bluebricks LinkedIn page. Exciting developments are on the way, and we might be looking to add more “bricks” to our wall.
