Check out YJ if you need a management solution of the Alt-workforce. 6️⃣ GEOGRAPHIC JOB DISPERSAL Offshoring remote-able jobs as employers seek to reduce costs by wage arbitrage has been an increasingly explicit strategy in 2024. Why hire in London when you can hire more and better in Johannesburg? Recruiters need to globalise talent outlook, become experts at hiring regardless of location 7️⃣ CRISIS IN EARLY CAREERS No tougher market for a job seeker - maybe only the over 50's have a harder time than early careers? AI + Automation can encourage employers to hire more and less junior staff, depending mainly on organisation size and timeline-to-productivity, but I do not envy the youth of the today. 8️⃣ SKILL BASED HIRING ....WORTH THE SQUEEZE? 2024 was a great year for the debate on SBH. Whether you're an evangelist or sceptic the conversation achieved a depth rarely seen in our industry. We've got better at understanding the pro's and cons on SBH and through this - hopefully - be better at executing it if we try it 9️⃣ TALENT DENSITY IS A PLAYER REBRAND We're all on board with Talent Density as QoH becomes the metric that we are measured against. Recruiters are going to have to expand scope into Talent Management if we're going to do this properly...all part of the great simplification of org structure.... 🔟 TECH CONSOLIDATION How many tools we got in 2024? Less than what we had in 2023 and probably just as well, because we weren't using them to anything like the level we needed to be. Tech consolidation has led to vendors expanding from point solutions to multifunction applications in the attempt to become the platform which sticks.
