About us
Woolwich Service Users Project (WSUP) is a grassroots charity that provides practical and emotional support to those seeking help in our community. We support people who are going through, or are at risk of, poverty, homelessness, addiction and any other life challenges. We offer essential services including a warm, safe drop-in centre where people in need can access hot meals, showers, haircuts, a laundry service and a clothing bank. We are a non-judgmental environment and our doors are open to everyone in our community who needs us. We partner with external organisations to provide advice and support sessions for our guests. These services include help with healthcare, housing, employment, skills training, addiction, debt and mental health issues. We also run a range of wellbeing activities, including yoga and meditation, to enhance our guests' health and quality of life. Our drop-in sessions are: Monday 10am to 3pm Tuesday 10am to 2pm Saturday 10am to 2pm

If you can spare a few hours a week to join our team please call 020 8316 6558 or email volunteers@wsupwoolwich.org. As Leader of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. This season offers a chance to reflect on what we’ve achieved together this year: ✅ Borough of Sanctuary status: A welcoming place for all. ✅ Investing in young people: Wellbeing hubs in schools and ‘Outstanding’ services. ✅ Safer streets: £100 fines for catcalling to protect women and girls. ✅ Housing for all: Tackling homelessness and building Europe’s largest council housing project. ✅ Sustainable living: Greener, warmer homes and improved green spaces. Looking ahead to 2025, we’ll open our state-of-the-art leisure centre, unveil a transformed Woolwich Town Centre, and continue making travel greener and easier for everyone in Greenwich. Next year, we’ll continue to build on this progress. I remain committed to making Greenwich an even better place.

Promoting health and wellbeing is central to our mission. Our course, How to Reduce Anxiety and Boost Self Esteem, funded by Greenwich Mental Health Hub, received great feedback from our guests and volunteers. "I really enjoyed learning all the techniques that there are for controlling my anxiety." Kat, WSUP volunteer "It has given me confidence to stand up for myself." Lesley, WSUP guest “I would recommend this course to everyone who wants to learn more about themselves in a positive and safe space.” Patricia, WSUP volunteer #GreenwichBizAwards Royal Borough of Greenwich

Christmas came early! We had a wonderful time collecting for the Stafforce Shoebox Appeal. Stafforce managed to put together over 60 gift bags, each containing something warm, something to clean with, and a treat for the homeless and an abundance of coats and clothes. Stafforce supported Forest Night Shelter and WSUP Homeless Local Charities. I would like to say a special thank you, for the extremely kind donations from to Amanda Underhill MIRP Ashley Kate HR & Finance, Bradley Draper Kingsway Group Global, and everyone who donated. It’s beginning to look a lot like Givemas!
