The deal adds 200+ corporate clients, 4,300 wellness partners, 400K eligible employee subscribers, and Fitprime’s therapist-matching platform to Wellhub's network. Doubling YoY revenue, Wellhub (formerly Gympass) now reaches 19K companies across 11 countries. Adding services while acquiring rivals, it’s addressing consumers’ holistic needs amid escalating competition.

  • ŌURA closed a $200M Series D, reaching a $5.2B valuation. Backers included Fidelity Management And Research Company Company and a previously announced investment from Dexcom. The smart ring maker will deploy funding into product, science, and healthcare innovation, with AI playing a key role. This follows the launch of its Gen 4 ring, acquisitions of metabolic health platform Veri and movement health specialist Sparta Science, and integration with Dexcom CGMs.

  • Therme Group is heating up. The Austrian spa-resort operator secured €320M ($336M) and acquired Munich’s Therme Erding, the world’s largest thermal spa, from its strategic partner. Attracting 1.9M annual visitors, the 180K-sq-m facility features 35 group saunas, 40 thermal springs, cold plunges, spa services, and a waterpark for kids. Building for physical, social, and mental well-being, THERME GROUP has an existing destination in Bucharest plus ground-up plans for Manchester, Frankfurt, Toronto, and DC.

    In 2024, the health and fitness industry evolved in unexpected ways: 💊 GLP-1s had cross-sector ripple effects. 📈 Glucose tracking gained mainstream momentum. 🏭 Workplace wellness evolved to include whole-person benefits. 🏗️ Wellness clubs, condos, hotels, and utopias redefined real estate. 🏋️ Next-gen gyms bundled recovery, strength, mindful movement, and diagnostics. ⛲ Longevity and healthspan optimization spawned new consumer health categories. 👟 Activewear brands saw increased competition as niche labels redefined fitness fashion. 🤝 Run crews, racquet clubs, group workouts, and social sweat venues continued their surge — proving community is still king.     HYROX is transforming gyms into training centers. The fitness racing company debuted its flagship Performance Center in Berlin, establishing a blueprint for future locations:  • Dedicated facility or gym-in-gym options • Custom floor plans optimized for group HYROX workouts • Premium equipment packages from Concept2, Inc. and Centr  • Plus, geographic exclusivity, design support, and turnkey programming. Turning fitness into a mass participation event, HYROX is in growth mode. Scaling globally, 175K+ participants competed in 65+ races across 30 cities during the 2023/24 season. Expanding its ecosystem, HYROX counts 5K affiliated training clubs, added coach certifications, and landed an apparel deal with PUMA Group. Prioritizing functional movements over barbell or gymnastics-based skills, HYROX training and events are more accessible than its cousin CrossFit, helping accelerate adoption.
