Back to school (for the kids) …also felt a bit like that at work with lots of #stakeholder engagements picking up over the last couple of weeks after a looooong summer! Offshore Wind brings such a diverse range of opportunities across the country 🇬🇧 like working with Newcastle University for a #research project application, welcoming the global Equinor #renewables leadership team back to Port of Tyne and showing them around the O&M base, discussing #events with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, engaging with the North East Offshore Wind #cluster Energi Coast leadership group and supporting the Tyne Powered Tyne Taskforce chaired by Kim McGuinness! All in a weeks work 💪 Highlight (as usual) was a tour of North Star Grampian Tyne 🚢 with Andrew Duncan and Jo Lennon and having the opportunity to show off this fantastic SOV to the #leadership team. Lunch was good too 👌 Tommys tours just improved as well with our new model of the Grampian Derwent now on display in the Atrium 🤩 #energy #energytransition

A&P Tyne has welcomed trailing suction hopper dredger Arco Dijk back to its facility this month. The vessel, owned by Heidelberg Materials, will spend two weeks in dry dock while A&P completes her planned maintenance period. The large scope of repair work includes the replacement and maintenance of the vessel’s dredge pipe work and removal of her generator set for overhaul. The A&P team is also carrying out a CPP inspection as well as inspections of the shaft seal, while also completing tank cleaning and painting and hopper steel work. Arco Dijk is a returning vessel to A&P North East and we are delighted to welcome her back into drydock pictured below.
