👩🦽🥇 To celebrate International Day of People with Disabilities earlier this month we welcomed gold Paralympic medallist Hannah Cockroft OBE, PLY, DL, while members of our Disability Network travelled the country on their annual roadshow. In conversation with Associate and Disability Network Secretary Harriet Newton, and Managing Partner John Wood, we covered Hannah’s incredible career from a teenager interested in sport to a wheelchair racer with a string of gold medals, including her 8th and 9th gold Paralympic medals in the 100m and 800m T34 at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. She shared lessons on resilience and determination, and how it felt going from training in her garden during lockdown to breaking four world records in a day at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. During our Disability Network’s roadshow events, our people had the opportunity to learn more about the network, ask questions, and make suggestions about how the network can support colleagues and the wider firm. Thank you to everyone who participated in this month’s activities!
