Certainty Inbuilt Welcome to The Eades, Walthamstow. ✅ 495-homes ✅ 1,320 fitted volumetric units installed ✅ 25 new homes completed weekly ✅ 34 and 27 storeys Due for completion in the spring of 2025, The Eades sits on a 2,700 m2 constrained site bounded by a live shopping centre, a car park, a busy bus station, TFL over and underground lines and Network Rail tracks. The efficiency of the volumetric approach to this site allowed for a smooth construction process, minimising the impact on the local community. As main contractor of the development, Tide is using its volumetric system Vision to deliver the two buildings of 34 and 27 storeys for Long Harbour Ltd. The entire programme will benefit from significant construction time savings estimated to be 40%. Can you take a standard building design and make it Volumetric? A common misconception is that buildings have to be designed at the outset with the Vision Volumetric System in mind. Over the last decade, we have taken many traditionally designed schemes and modularised them up to stage 3 – often increasing the net internal area in the process. A well-designed traditional scheme should be easy to modularise, as structural loads and MEP services should be vertically stacked.
