  • When Solomon Slade tried meditation for the first time, it wasn’t the blissful experience he’d imagined. In fact, he walked out halfway through. A year or so later, a friend recommended that he go on a 10-day silent retreat. He had no idea what to expect but keeping an open mind, he said yes! It was physically painful and mentally overwhelming but it taught him how to face his mind and come out stronger. Today Sol teaches mindfulness. He’s also a mindset coach. His coaching is based on the latest research from Neuroscience, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Psychology, and Performance Science. Your mind can be wild and overwhelming, but it’s also where your strength lies and that’s what we’ll explore in Mental Flow.   • Meet Solomon Slade, our Mental Fitness Coach and the expert behind our Mental Flow programme. With a diverse background from coordinating city-wide community projects and events to running a youth movement, mentoring young people with complex needs, and leading the largest online student community in the world. Sol went on to train at two of the UK’s leading mindfulness institutions: the Sussex Mindfulness Centre (an NHS Foundation Trust) and the Oxford Mindfulness Centre. He’s had the privilege of delivering the NHS-approved 'Gold Standard' programmes, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), 'MBCT for Life,' and 'Finding Peace in a Frantic World.' Additionally, he is qualified in Shirzad Chamine’s Positive Intelligence (PQ) Coaching Programme.
