Over the last few weeks, we've been hosting festive wreath-making workshops in a selection of our stores, celebrating this magical season. Our customers spent the evening being expertly taught how to create their wreaths, made from British-grown seasonal foliage, and the results were beautiful. The workshop was inspired by our new fragrance, Clementine and Juniper - which is a combination of orange peel, pink pepper and juniper. The perfect scent to fill the home with this Christmas! Thank you to our wonderful Brand Marketing team for organising these fun and festive evenings!
About us
We’ve been making impeccably stylish, beautifully designed products, principally in white, for over 25 years. Think style not fashion, quality not quantity and an attention to detail that extends through everything we do – from the hand-stitching on a luxurious high thread-count pillowcase to our second-to-none customer service. We believe it’s the little things that matter. Precious moments of uncomplicated happiness are our constant inspiration and it is with those in mind that we design and create edited collections made to last and become an intimate part of our lives. We spend time developing our product ranges and put the same care and attention to detail into selecting the best people to join our growing and innovative business. From retail stores and ecommerce to Buying & Merchandising, quality experts, our support services, qualified accountants and visual/creative experts - The White Company inspires passion from all its people, and a genuine commitment to each other.

On Thursday 5th December, our Comms & Engagement team were delighted to be invited to the Place2Be Christmas Carol Concert, at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Square. This fantastic event raises vital funds to support their efforts in improving children and young people's mental health across the UK. We're delighted to be able to support this wonderful cause, by donating to their 'Tree of Wishes' which raises thousands of pounds for this wonderful charity. The evening was filled with wonderful Christmas carols and festive readings from Simon Callow and Victoria Smurfit. The team ended the night on a festive high with mulled wine, mince pies, and the joy of seeing guests leave with beautifully curated TWC goodie bags. Thank you, Place2Be, for hosting such a memorable event - it was a perfect way to start the Christmas season!

Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting our first ever Baubles and Bubbles event for our Head Office teams, an evening filled with Christmassy creativity, glasses of prosecco, and the joy of bauble decorating. This was a DIY evening hosted in house, giving our hard working teams a chance to get away from their desk and finish the day feeling full of festivities. From intricate Christmas puddings to delicate pink gingham designs, it was wonderful to see everyone come together and join in the fun.

Today we opened the doors to our brand new store in the picturesque town of Cirencester. You can find our beautiful new curated store in the capital of the Cotswolds, nestled in the town's marketplace amongst quaint clothing boutiques and cosy restaurants. We're extremely excited to be the latest addition to this charming community, and our in-store team, led by Store Manager Becky is looking forward to welcoming new and existing customers through our doors. This is our last new store opening of the year, so we'd like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone who has been involved in bringing all of them to life and contributing to their success. We're excited for what 2025 will bring!

Last week, we kicked off the festive season with a Cocktails and Quiz evening at our Head Office. The night began with our teams shaking up Gingerbread Martinis before diving into six rounds of trivia and challenges. From guessing Christmas movies to crafting the best decorations and finishing the lyrics to classic tunes, everyone embraced the festive spirit. It was a joyous evening spent with our teams as we celebrated the start of the festive season.

We caught up with Imogen Burrage, who joined our Talent Team on secondment from our Farnham store over Christmas. Imogen gave us a little glimpse into life at our Head Office "It’s been a highlight to be welcomed into the Talent and wider People Team, working alongside those that have made the company’s brand and culture what it is, making it such a great place to work. To anyone thinking of transitioning from store to head office, my biggest piece of advice would be to go for it! With its challenges come rewards which have been eye-opening and taught me so much about myself. Play on your strengths from your first-hand experience with customers, it will help you to make a meaningful impact in your new role and keep you connected to what fuelled your passion in the first place. I am so grateful for everyone from the shop floor to head office, who have supported me so far. It’s been an amazing journey, and I can’t wait to get back to store over the festive period and represent the brand I love.” If you're interested in an opportunity at The White Company, keep an eye out on our careers page here: https://lnkd.in/dqAJvgrM

As we prepare to open the doors to our brand new Hampstead and Cirencester stores, we wanted to give you a glimpse into just some of the work that goes on behind the scenes. From finding the location, organising the stock, as well as recruiting the team and training our successful candidates, everyone has a part to play! A couple of weeks ago, Hannah Govier & Paige Jordan from our Talent Team recently visited Cirencester to host a recruitment day, meeting potential team-members and getting to know the local community. They were joined by Becky, our new Store Manager who will be moving across from her Assistant Store Manager role in Oxford to head up our new team. We're so excited to see what she'll achieve in this new exciting chapter. We're thrilled to say our Cirencester Team is now fully recruited for, but the work doesn't stop there, as we're currently recruiting for our new store team in Lytham!
