Our prediction: In 2025, biometric data generated by footballers during matches will be developed as a commercial asset. Wearable tech has become a mainstay in sport, evolving beyond its initial role as a training aid, to now being able to transmit real-time data. Such real-time biodata opens the door to a plethora of commercial opportunities that data could be aggregated and repurposed to enhance fan engagement, pending player privacy and consent. It was great to see the Caledonia Gladiators in action this weekend at an exciting Super League Basketball game against Manchester Basketball in the Gladiators' new home - the Playsport Arena in East Kilbride.   Basketball is now recognised as the world's second favourite sport and the fastest growing sport in the UK, and The Sports Consultancy is excited to be assisting with commercial partnership sales for the Caledonia Gladiators men's and women's teams.   In addition to league play in the UK, the team also play in the FIBA Europe Cup, providing an additional European platform for its valued partners.
