#thankyoufriday Thank you to MK Netters & MK Dons Netball clubs 🙏 Children’s Grief Awareness Week is a month behind us, but we are still receiving donations and photographs from everyone who got behind our campaign and spread a #rainbow across #miltonkeynes! We were blown away to hear they raised £475 during a whole week of dressing up in bright colours 🌈 Thank you so much for helping us to give bereaved children a brighter tomorrow. 🔥Can you stand the heat?🔥 We have teamed up with The Park MK Sarah Osoba to host a Fundraising Firewalk for #bereavedchildren in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. If you have been looking for a challenge to complete this year, then this one could be for you! 😁 On Wednesday 5th March join us at The Park MK and walk over 4-5 meters of hot coals which can reach temperatures of 500 degree Celsius, for bereaved children. We certainly could not run our groups or events without our amazing volunteers, so we celebrated their support by having a social evening together. 🎁 Almost 20 of our volunteers enjoyed catching up with each other whilst busy with craft kits, mulled wine and Christmas treats. A small way of us giving them a huge thank you for their time and support this year! 🙏 Our volunteers tell us that helping our beneficiaries is a positive experience and that #volunteering often helps their own #wellbeing. Our #YoungAdults support group recently enjoyed an evening of wreath making to get them into the Christmas spirit. 🎄🎅 Amongst the greenery, ribbons and cinnamon sticks there was talk of their loved ones, and how much they will be especially missed at this time of year. 🙏 Coming together to remember, reminisce and have fun building new memories is what YADI (Young Adults Drop In) is all about. And don’t their finished wreaths look spectacular? 🎁🌈 We wish them and their families a very peaceful festive season 🎄

Last week, CAPITAL SPACE LIMITED, Linford Wood, had a Christmas party for their customers! 🎄 They also organised a raffle and a fun Christmas quiz (which we won, by the skin of our teeth, hehe). It was so lovely to see everyone, and the team were very excited as the raffle meant they had exceeded their target of raising £1000 for Harry’s Rainbow in 2024! 🙏 What a way to the end the year! This Year alone we have had to turn away 51 families who reached out to us for support. We never want to turn anyone away but these children had not been bereaved of a parent or sibling, or were out of our catchment area! 💔 In these cases we will sign post them to bereavement organisations in their area who might be able to help, however regrettably some areas do not have local support and therefore we mention 👇 Child Bereavement UK who are a National Charity. They have amazing online resources to support those in need.
