Community Action: MK

Last Thursday we hosted our last networking event of 2024! 🎉 Our Festive 'Jingle & Mingle' event was a great success! We had 13 stallholders and a steady footfall of both organisations and MK residents, dropping in and out as they liked! We are incredibly grateful to our stallholders for giving up their time and donning their festive jumpers (and headwear!) to be a part of our event, as well as those that contributed items to our donation station! The kindness of the Milton Keynes voluntary and community sector is always a wonder to behold! 🫶 We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a restful festive season and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year! 🎄

Yesterday was the last of our session in our Volunteering for All: MK series funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund administered by Milton Keynes City Council. This session was led by Jay Virgo, who delivered an insightful, thought-provoking session packed full of information, guidance and tips around everything communications within an organisation. We are incredibly grateful to Jay and his open approach to the delivery of the session, and all those who attended! We hope you found it as useful as we did! #VolunteerMK

AI Tools & Ethics Session 🚀 Today, our team at Community Action: MK had a fantastic session on AI tools and ethics, led by Caroline Broadway at Dandelion Applied AI. We were introduced to Caroline's work through NAVCA, and Caroline delivered an interactive, tailored session that sparked great discussions. We're hoping to host an information session for local VCSE groups in Milton Keynes as part of our capacity-building programme in the New Year.
