📣 A note about event tickets from 2025 📣 For the last year, tickets to our events have been free. We wanted our events to be fully accessible to everyone. However, unfortunately it’s common practice for people to get tickets and not show. The average free event will see a 1/3 no show rate which is very high when people have put effort into putting something on. Our sponsors generously donate money for your refreshments which most of you enjoy, but with no-shows we find that there’s quite a lot of waste. We estimate that £340 worth of food has been wasted this past year which is the cost of almost 2 events (we donate leftovers to the local shelter where we can). With this in mind, we now feel it’s fair to start implementing a small ticket cost to ensure a better turnout for events. From January we will be charging £5 per ticket. This is cheaper than the average pint in the city. For full transparency, the money made will go towards running the events, website and marketing costs. We will have a few accessibility tickets which are free for each event to help those who can’t afford the ticket price. However, should you claim the ticket and not come, you will be barred from future free tickets to keep this fair to those who need them. We’ve received so many compliments on our events and our network this past year and we love running them so we hope to continue seeing many of you at the events in 2025.
