Our team has been embracing the festive season by creating crafted, wool decorations for our wooden tree! We wanted to prioritise the environmental impact of our Christmas ornaments, while still spreading some festive cheer. This year, we came together to handcraft decorations using recycled wool - a great initiative to promote reuse and repurposing! 🎄❄️ #studioNWA #christmasdecorations #sustainability

ANGELA VICO CORREAS, Costanza Zuffa, Orlando Baghaloo and Darren Lansdall attended the insightful GeN+1 Masterclass last week. It was an engaging session centred around 'difficult conversations', exploring the perspective from both a manager and younger employee. A brilliant opportunity to learn, grow and develop both our skillset and confidence. Thanks to GeN+1, we look forward to the next one! #studioNWA #genplusone #masterclass

Yesterday we attended the London Build Expo, the UK's largest construction show, a brilliant opportunity for us to connect and learn. We thought it was positive to see a section of the expo dedicated solely to fire systems and products. Following the recently approved building safety act, it was apparent the seminars in this part of the Expo were responding to the demand of visitors and professionals in the industry with talks having more of a focus on compliance. #londonbuildexpo #studioNWA

In this thought leadership piece our, Associate Director, Orlando Baghaloo, explores Beyond the Basics: Accelerating Data Centre Decarbonisation Decarbonising data centres continues to be a pressing challenge due to their energy-intensive nature. With AI technology evolving rapidly, enabling faster data processing, the environmental impact of data centres is set to rise. Orlando Baghalooo, Associate Director, recently participated in a RIBA roundtable discussion with industry experts, where they explored the importance of creating a repository of low embodied carbon products to reduce the carbon footprint of these facilities. At studioNWA, we embrace a *fabric-first* approach, prioritising energy efficiency at the design stage by reducing heat loss and optimising thermal performance before relying on mechanical systems. This approach is particularly relevant for data centres, where operational energy demands... ...Follow the link below to continue reading: https://lnkd.in/epgECVpR #studioNWA #datacentres #thoughtleadership
