  • Donington : Season Finale After a disappointing outing at Oulton Park in September, when a mechanical issue put the Stockford Anderson sponsored AUDI RS3 TCR at the back of the pack on the start lap, the team moved on to the climax of the Club Enduro season at Donington. The conditions at Donington race track on 13 October could not have been better, a dry cold autumnal day. A long day ahead with scrutineering at 7:30am, qualifying at 10am and the 2 hour race starting at 3:30pm. The Team qualified 9th for the race, with a mere 1.5 seconds between poll and 10th place on a 1 min 40 lap time around the GP circuit. The car was in good shape, expertly set up by Team Dynamics Motorsport Ltd. Matthew Stockford did the first hour long stint, with two safety car periods and brought the car into the driver change in 7th place. Alyn James took over, setting consistently fast lap times and at the chequered flag finished in 5th place. A subsequent disqualification of the team in front promoted Stockford / James to 4th place, a very pleasing result for the last race of the season. The final Championship result has not yet been published, so more will follow. Preliminary result suggest a 4th place finish for the 2024 season. Thanks to the sponsorship of Stockford Anderson and the professionalism of Team Dynamics Motorsport Ltd, it has been a wonderfully exciting season for all concerned.

Back in 2021, during the height of the pandemic and uncertainty around retail, our real estate group acquired nine retail parks across the U.K. in two off-market transactions. During our ownership, we have driven operational performance across the assets through our active management approach, increasing overall occupancy, footfall and covenant strength, to deliver value for our investors throughout different market cycles. We are pleased to have recently agreed to sell all nine assets to British Land, which marks our second recent successful exit of a pandemic investment, following the sale of 150 Champs Elysees in Paris to LVMH. • Silverstone - What Could Have Been The summer break had given the team ample time to rebuild the gearbox and address major service items. They arrived at the iconic Silverstone circuit, ready to take on the International layout. Qualifying started with promise. Matthew Stockford delivered a solid performance, securing a time of 1:13.7, which placed the team in P7 halfway through the session. Alyn James took over, but the 37-car congestion on the 1.8-mile circuit proved problematic. Despite the theoretical potential for a P6 finish based on ideal performance, Alyn’s final time of 1:13.2 only secured P12. The focus shifted to the race and the importance of navigating a busy field, the team made strategic setup adjustments to combat mid-corner understeer and prepared for the early afternoon race start. Matthew began the race at 13:30 in the heat of the day with very high cabin temperatures. He fought hard to maintain his position, as pit stops commenced, the race dynamic shifted, introducing new challenges as the team sought to pass slower cars while closing in on the leaders. Alyn took over on lap 41 with hopes of gaining ground, but a severe issue emerged. The new front wheels and tires caused a disturbing high-speed vibration, making the shift lights and dash almost unreadable. This problem compounded as lap times deteriorated with the engine cutting the throttle and reducing the power making overtaking slower cars increasingly difficult. The team persevered, aiming to finish the race and salvage some points. When the chequered flag fell on lap 88 they were in a disappointing 9th position, it marked the end of a gruelling race and the beginning of post-race investigation. Back at the garage, the cause of the performance issues became glaringly obvious: the main air intake hose had detached from the filter housing. This blocked half of the intake, allowing hot air from the engine bay to enter the engine. The result was significantly reduced power and a major hindrance to both drivers. Another challenging weekend had left the team pondering the "what could have been" if everything had gone smoothly. With the lessons learned, the team now sets their sights on the picturesque Oulton Park for the next race in September, hoping for a better outcome. Despite the disappointment of a P9 finish, the Team are still lying third in the championship. Team Dynamics Motorsport Ltd

  • Snetterton June 23rd The team headed to a very hot and sunny Snetterton for Round 3 of the Club Enduro Championship. After the first 2 rounds the Stockford Anderson team are leading the championship. Matthew Stockford started the qualifying session and immediately put in some consistent times to keep the team in the top 10. With track temperatures rising, the session would only get quicker and at the half way point Matthew swapped over to allow Alyn to finish the session. Times did continue to improve but at the flag the Audi TCR finished in a slightly disappointing 11th. With 31 cars in total on the grid the race was certainly going to be busy. The 2 hour race started at 14:30, an earlier than usual start for the Endurance race. Normally this would be greatly appreciate but with the sun now blasting down this was going to be a very hot race. Matthew started the race deep in the pack of Class A cars and battling began from the first corner. The temperature in the car was extremely hot and this took its toll on drivers and cars, some driver opting to take pit stops early and some cars not making it to the half way point. Matthew’s planned stop on the 1hr was due and with Matthew feeling the effects of the heat this was definitely welcomed. But a very badly timed safety car meant that Matthew had to keep running for another 15mins getting hotter and hotter. With the slower speeds, air flow is less, so makes it even more uncomfortable. Due to the timing of the safety car it allowed the front group of cars to gain a lap on everyone and this pushed us down the order. Eventually the safety car came in and the driver change could take place from P16 with competing cars still to do their pit stops. A quick fuel and tyre stop put Alyn James back in the pack and ready to chase the leaders. The track temp was now very high and no longer giving the grip the teams had found during qualifying. Alyn was able to catch up with the leading group and was soon batting with cars from P9 to P6. The Stockford Anderson Audi was performing well and the team picked up place after place getting to P6 when a problem spoiled the day. Coming out of Agostini, a 3rd gear corner, the steering snapped wildly out of Alyn’s hand and the engine revs rose. No drive at all. The engine would rev but there was no drive to the wheels, just a horrible sound of grinding gears. Alyn put the car into neutral and coasted to a safe spot so not to trigger another safety car. The teams race was over on the last lap of a 2 hour race. A tough end to the day and the team felt thoroughly deflated. A small positive from the day was that the team still had a classified finish salvaging some points and keeping themselves in the Championship hunt lying in second place.

REQUEST FOR HELP PLEASE...   You may or may not already know that Paul Anderson (co-founder of Stockford Anderson) and his son Aaron have recently returned from climbing Mount Everest... not the easy bit to base camp ( 😃 ), but the whole way up to the summit (29,035') and thankfully safely back down again! They have done this to raise money for Dementia UK. They have already raised a huge amount of money, but they are a little short of the target they set out to reach of £130k. Why that amount? Because it would fund two new Admiral Nurses – specialist dementia nurses who offer life-changing support to families affected by all forms of dementia.   Dementia is a terrible illness. Every 3 minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia and it's one of the biggest health challenges of our time (Dementia UK).    So here's the request please, can you help by donating? Any amount, no matter how large or small, would be hugely appreciated. Just click on the Just Giving link below and remember to Gift Aid if applicable   https://lnkd.in/eTHTamtf Thank you in advance and, if you can't donate yourself, please repost and together we'll try and get Paul and Aaron up towards their target.
