  • Wrapping up a stellar 2024 at SpaceInvader!   As we close the chapter on an incredible year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our amazing clients, fantastic team, dedicated suppliers, and vibrant design community. This year, we proudly celebrated our 15th anniversary, a milestone that fills us with pride and gratitude. We embraced exciting new opportunities across a number of different sectors, including our work in stadia design, while deepening our roots in the hospitality sector. Our commercial projects have been standout highlights, with successful completions at Eden New Bailey, Aldermore London, Nest at Glasshouse, Stopford House, and 40 Spring Gardens. We also gave back to our beloved Manchester with a stunning art installation at Piccadilly Gardens Pavilion. A huge shout-out to our brilliant team stars, whose outstanding work has been recognised throughout the year. Your dedication and creativity have earned us numerous award shortlists and many celebratory wins. Thank you all for being part of our journey. Here’s to more inspiring designs and successful collaborations in 2025! See you next year. #InteriorDesign #commercialinteriordesign #2024highlights #thankyou

  • Our redesign of the Manchester Piccadilly Gardens Pavilion has been featured by I Love Manchester and we couldn’t be prouder. The concept, “Weave,” celebrates Manchester’s industrial roots while reimagining Piccadilly Gardens as a more welcoming and connected space. The centrepiece of the redesign is a bespoke art installation created in collaboration with Manchester-based artist LAZERIAN and lighting designers Artin Light. This striking feature transforms the Pavilion’s outer wall into a dynamic and engaging element of the cityscape. A big thank you to I Love Manchester for sharing our work, to our clients Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and to everyone involved in the project. For the team, this has been a true labour of love, especially as many of us are proud Mancunians. Contributing to our city’s urban fabric is a real honour. #SpaceInvader #Manchester #PiccadillyGardens #UrbanDesign #CommunitySpaces #Commercialinteriordesign

We’re featured in the Journal of Biophilic Design It's a huge honour for our work at Eden at New Bailey to be showcased as a case study in the Journal of Biophilic Design, a testament to how innovative design can reshape the industry’s approach to sustainability and wellbeing. Eden isn't just an office building, it's a £36m revolution in sustainable development, featuring Europe's largest green wall, net-zero operational carbon, and biodiversity embedded into its DNA. Development by ECF it sets a new benchmark for environmentally workplaces. At Spacelnvader, we brought this vision to life by designing the social hub on the ground and mezzanine floors. Our interiors enhance wellbeing, reflect Eden's commitment to sustainability, and push the boundaries of what biophilic design can achieve. Eden showcases the transformative power of biophilic design-not only to improve wellbeing and workplace environments but also to boost profitability, positively impacting the entire value chain, from real estate performance to employee satisfaction. A heartfelt thank you to the Journal of Biophilic Design for spotlighting this project and to everyone who contributed to this incredible journey. • We want to celebrate our talented Brand & Graphics Associate, Jenny Crossland! While Jenny is usually focused on repositioning city-centre buildings, hotels, or crafting brand identities for new hospitality lounges, over the past few months, she’s been working on something completely different. Through our connections in the USA, SpaceInvader was asked to develop a brand identity for an exciting new wine offering – Blaine Wines. We love design, especially projects that challenge our creativity, so of course, we said yes! Drawing inspiration from the stunning landscapes of California’s renowned wine regions, our concept blends the textures of its northern coastline with the rolling hills’ topography. The result? A design that is simple, beautiful, and entirely unique. A huge congratulations to Blaine Wines and a massive well done to Jenny Crossland for her exceptional work. I’ll have a bottle of Nebbiolo – cheers! Jeremy Lathen Matt Flegal Derek Flegal John Williams #BrandDesign #BlaineWines #DesignInnovation

  • **Mix Awards North 2024 Finalist Spotlight: Eden at New Bailey, Salford** Our third finalist spotlight for Mix Awards North 2024 celebrates Eden at New Bailey, shortlisted for Project of the Year – Positive Impact. This pioneering £36m development in Salford, delivered by The English Cities Fund (a partnership between Muse, Legal & General, and Homes England), stands out as one of the UK’s most sustainable office buildings, with its innovative environmental design and commitment to net-zero operational carbon. We had the privilege of designing the interior amenity spaces, aligning them with Eden’s eco-friendly ethos and creating a true community hub. Inspired by Europe’s largest green wall—Eden’s striking, 350,000-plant façade—our interior design for Eden centres around the theme of "flourish," bringing biophilic principles indoors to enhance air quality, biodiversity, and occupant wellbeing. We focused on reclaimed materials, low VOC finishes, and carbon-conscious design choices. Key features include a central sculptural piece crafted from recycled materials, which serves as a striking visual statement on sustainability, symbolising the project’s commitment to carbon reduction. We’re incredibly proud of the collaborative effort on this project and grateful to ECF for the opportunity to bring Eden to life. Best of luck to all Mix Awards North finalists—we look forward to celebrating with you!
