  • 🎉 Today, we celebrate the National Day of Social Educators in Brazil, a day dedicated to recognizing the incredible work of educators who foster growth, inclusion, and empowerment in communities. This day also marks the anniversary of Paulo Freire, one of Brazil’s most influential educators, whose teachings continue to inspire transformative education globally. 🌍 Freire’s work, especially his focus on critical pedagogy, aligns closely with the principles of social pedagogy. Like social pedagogy, Freire emphasized the importance of education as a relational and holistic process, where learning is built on dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect. Both view education as a tool for social change and empowerment, particularly for marginalized communities. On this special day, let’s honour the social educators who embody these values and carry Freire’s legacy forward—using education to build more inclusive, just, and equitable societies. How do you integrate the values into your work? Let us know in the comments! #NationalDayOfSocialEducators #PauloFreire #SocialPedagogy #EducationForAll #SocialJustice #InclusiveEducation #Empowerment
