Thrilled to have been part of the jury and represent Seaway7 at the Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference (OEEC) for the Innovation Award Show! 🌊 The seven contestants each gave a pitch and had to answer questions from the jury. The innovations were impressive and the decision was difficult to make. However, we ultimately awarded the prize to Fibersail for their groundbreaking innovation. A big thank you to my fellow jury members Celina van den Bank, my Young KIVI Engineers colleague, and David Molenaar for the collaboration and time invested to share knowledge and ideas. It has been a great opportunity to learn about innovations in the industry. Looking forward to seeing these innovations shape the future of offshore energy! #OEEC2024 #InnovationAward #OffshoreEnergy #RenewableEnergy

🌊First Month Offshore: A Graduate Engineer's Journey on the Yunlin Offshore Wind Project - Taiwan🌊🇹🇼 I am thrilled to share my incredible experience from the past month aboard the Orient Adventurer vessel, where I have been working as a Graduate Engineer on the Yunlin Offshore Wind Project. From the moment I stepped on board, I was immersed in the dynamic world of offshore engineering. The sheer scale of the project and the cutting-edge technology involved in laying subsea cables has been very impressive.🌍 Highlights of my first month: Hands-on Learning: Gained practical experience in cable laying operations, working alongside seasoned professionals who have been generous with their knowledge and guidance. Team Collaboration: Witnessed the power of teamwork and communication in ensuring the smooth execution of complex tasks, even in challenging offshore conditions. Problem-Solving: Tackled real-time engineering challenges, enhancing my problem-solving skills and adaptability. Sustainability Impact: Contributed to a project that is advancing renewable energy and reducing carbon footprints. This journey has not only broadened my technical skills but also reinforced my passion for sustainable engineering solutions. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a transformative project and look forward to the months ahead as we continue to make strides in the renewable energy sector. A big thank you to my amazing team and mentors for their support and encouragement. Here's to many more milestones and learning experiences!🚀

Seaway7 is supporting the GROW offshore wind project SIMOX, which focuses on innovative installation techniques to minimise the impact on marine life 🐟 This month, we kicked off the onshore testing campaign at the Port of Amsterdam. Here, we are testing silent installation technologies designed to reduce environmental noise during monopile installation. Sylvie Marchal Dreux, Technology Manager at Seaway7, says: “We are conscious of the noise impact on marine life due to piling activities, which is why we are committed to developing and testing innovative monopile installation techniques that reduce noise levels. The onshore testing campaign at the Port of Amsterdam is an exciting opportunity to further understand and mature new installation technologies.” Follow GROW for the latest updates and to learn more about the SIMOX project. #silentinstallation #offshorewind #SustainableTechnology #InnovativeEngineering
Kick-off SIMOX onshore test campaign! This month, the onshore testing campaign for the Sustainable Installation of XXL Monopiles project called #SIMOX has started at the Port of Amsterdam. Various silent technologies for the installation of #monopiles will be tested. Monopiles are used as foundations for offshore wind turbines and their installation with current methods can create significant environmental noise. During the onshore testing campaign, various drivability and lateral bearing capacity tests will be done, on various L/D and D/T ratios with extensive monitoring in the ground and on the piles.
