The School of Management at Swansea University is one of the UK’s top providers of management, finance and economic research and education. The School of Management is home to nearly 2000 students from 60 different countries, studying a range of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.   • The Help to Grow: Management programme is coming to Swansea University! Help to Grow is a national programme developed and delivered by SME focused teams from within UK business schools, drawing on their knowledge, expertise, and experience as they equip you with the knowledge and confidence you need to take your business to the next level. The programme consists of 12 modules, 10 hours of 1-2-1 mentoring and peer network sessions. Designed to be completed alongside full-time work, the course is delivered in 50 hours spread across 12 weeks. The first Help to Grow programme will start in January 2025 and run until the end of March. In terms of eligibility for the programme, participants should: ▪️ Work for a Small or Medium-sized Enterprise based in the United Kingdom ▪️Employ between 5 and 249 employees ▪️Be a member of the senior leadership team and have direct reports 90% funded by the government, the course costs £750 per person. Help to Grow: Management is a small investment that can play a big part in securing the future of your business.   • We're excited to announce the successful completion of the Innovate UK -funded Management Knowledge Transfer Partnership (mKTP)! This 24-month collaboration has set a remarkable benchmark for how academia and industry can come together to drive forward impactful innovation. 🎉 Led by Dr Daniel Rees (Senior Lecturer and Deputy Programme Director at the All-Wales Intensive Learning Academy for Innovation in Health & Social Care) and Professor Nick Rich (Professor of Operations Management), this project received £143,000 from Innovate UK and brought together the expertise of Swansea University and CPR Global Technology , a pioneering Swansea-based healthcare technology firm.     We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Sally Lewis as Professor of Value in Health Management. Professor Lewis will work part-time and join our Value-Based Health and Care Academy academic team. Previously an honorary Professor in the School of Medicine, Professor Lewis was until recently a member of the NHS Wales Executive and Director of the Welsh Value in Health Centre where she built an international reputation for Value-based health Care strategy and delivery. Professor Hamish Laing, Director of the VBHC Academy said: "We are absolutely delighted that Sally will be joining us in the Academy, bringing her first-hand experience of VBHC and global strategic leadership to add to our existing strengths".
