  • Inspiring future talent — A dynamic and engaged group of students participated in a thought-provoking session at Regent’s University London, led by John Rason, Head of Consulting at Santa Fe Relocation. Held on 28 November, the session explored the evolving challenges of international assignments and workforce mobility. The event, organised by Dr. Vicky Haji-Ghassemi MSc, PhD, Senior Lecturer in Management, Human Resources and Organisations and Course Leader for several postgraduate programmes at Regent's University London, brought fresh insights to the next generation of business leaders. John shared key insights from our ‘Taking care of’ series, focusing on supporting Global Mobility professionals. Through practical breakout discussions, John explored scenarios with students involving cross-border workforce management, organisational transformation and stakeholder engagement. The interactive format encouraged students to think strategically, applying concepts to real-world business challenges. Feedback highlighted the session as both inspiring and practical, equipping future leaders with the tools to address the complexities of international talent management. This collaboration with Regent's University London highlights Santa Fe’s dedication to driving innovation and bridging the gap between industry and academia. A special thanks to Dr. Vicky Haji-Ghassemif or her support and to the students who made the session so engaging. We hope you enjoy the short film we’ve created to capture the energy and insights from the day. Explore the "Taking care of" series here: https://lnkd.in/eCeAydYC. This astronomical event has been observed for millennia, with various cultures celebrating the return of longer daylight hours. In 2023, the solstice occurred at 10:27 p.m. Eastern Time, as reported by the United States Naval Observatory. • Global Perspectives — International Human Solidarity Day, observed on 20 December, promotes the importance of solidarity in achieving global goals, particularly in eradicating poverty. In 2023, the United Nations reported that over 700 million people live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1.90 per day. The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated inequalities, pushing millions into poverty. This day serves as a reminder of the need for collective action and mutual support to address global challenges and build a more equitable world.
