Transact Risk Partners is delighted to have closely worked with Marnix Terpstra of Marsh McLennan in resolving a W&I insurance claim for €12.5 million. This sum represented the full limit of liability under the policy and was, impressively given the size of the claim, agreed in less than 4 months from the claim notice being received. Alex White, Ryan Transactional Risk's Head of Claims (International), remarks “As a well-known broker recently commented, “a positive claims process nearly always starts with a good claim notice, substantiated with enough information”. We couldn’t agree more. In fact, as a direct result of the quality of the claim notice received, Ryan Transactional Risk was recently able to agree a claim in just 3 days much to the delight of the broker and the insured. That being said, there is little material publicly available on claim notices, in particular from an insurer’s perspective.
