📢 Big News from RGS During #NewYorkClimateWeek! 📢 We’re thrilled to introduce RGS' #ImpactLeaders List, spotlighting 110 global publicly traded companies and their #MonetizedImpact performance. It’s the first-ever publicly available list based on #ImpactAccounting, converting sustainability metrics into financial terms and revealing hidden costs with full transparency. Behind RGS' #AI-powered impact intelligence platform is a patented engine and a proprietary, science-based approach that utilizes 60+ outcome-based metrics and the latest social cost models to assess companies' Environmental, Employee, and Customer impact. 🔝Who Made the Impact Leaders List?🔝 This pioneering assessment covers all 11 sectors, recognizing the top 10 companies in each for their impact results. A big congratulations to the 11 featured companies who are among top impact leaders within their sector: Allianz, Amazon AT&T, Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd., Ecolab, Eni, Iberdrola, L'Oréal, Microsoft, Pfizer, Quanta Services, Inc. 🔎Want to see the full list of 110 high-performing public companies?🔎 Access it for FREE via our website: https://lnkd.in/gcqv59nM 💡What Makes Impact Accounting-Based Rankings Stand Out from Other Sustainability Rankings?💡 1️⃣ Integrating Impact: Unlike traditional rankings, impact accounting adds a third dimension—impact—to the risk and return analysis. It quantifies a company’s social and environmental impact in monetary terms, embedding ESG into financial decision-making. 2️⃣ Quantifying Impact on Consumers: Impact accounting captures the positive societal benefits generated by a company’s products and services, filling a crucial gap that typical ESG ratings often miss. 3️⃣ Communicating Impact: By translating environmental and social outcomes into financial terms, impact accounting provides corporate and investor decision-makers with a new, clear source of sustainability data. 4️⃣ Increasing Transparency: Expressing impact in monetary terms allows for more precise tracking of progress against KPIs and enables benchmarking for sustainability performance. We’re also excited to share that this initiative is supported by our partner, International Foundation For Valuing Impacts (IFVI), an independent nonprofit building and scaling the practice of impact accounting to promote decision-making based on risk, return, and impact. Join us in celebrating these companies that are shaping a more #Sustainable future! If you’d like to learn more about the list, our methodology, more granular monetized impact results, or explore partnership opportunities to spread the word, reach out to us via info@rgsciences.com. 💫 Closing the Year on a High-Energy Note: Building Bridges Conference, Geneva, 9-12th Dec 2024🇨🇭 It’s rare to attend an event that isn’t just about learning and networking but also about #TakingAction. The Building Bridges Conference, organised in partnership with United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) lived up to its name - four incredible days of aligning finance with sustainability. Building Bridges is an annual event in Switzerland that convenes financial professionals, policymakers, NGOs, and international organizations to accelerate the transition to a sustainable financial system. I was fortunate to meet hundreds of inspiring individuals, all working tirelessly to create a more sustainable and equitable world through the power of finance. From the US to Europe and Africa, the energy and commitment were truly unparalleled. What stood out most at Building Bridges was how #ImpactValuation wasn’t just a niche concept - it was a common thread. Panels like the one hosted by the Value Balancing Alliance, “A Solution-Oriented Approach: Impact Accounting within International Regulations,” led by Dimitrij Euler and Dennis West, showcased how far we’ve come. Discussions included topics such as the power of Quantification and Monetization of Impacts for regulatory alignment, #DoubleMaterialityAssessments, #RiskManagement, and decision-making. Some of my takeaways and key thoughts from Building Bridges: ⏳ “It is time to use impact accounting today.” - by Sir Ronald Cohen ‼️ “The risks of tomorrow are the risks of today in Emerging Markets.” - by Rui Oliveira, BFA Asset Management 🌏 “It is a fiduciary responsibility of asset managers and owners to integrate sustainability metrics and real-world externalities into the wider, holistic view of how they allocate capital.” - by Chris Turpin, Greenings At RG Sciences (RGS), we are proud to be at the forefront of this movement and lead the way in impact accounting. Our RIFT™ impact intelligence platform empowers investors and corporate leaders to incorporate impact into their decision-making by putting a dollar value on the positive and negative externalities of companies, driving informed and responsible investment strategies. Let's have a chat if interested to learn more: https://lnkd.in/dX9TXnKs A big thank you to all the colleagues, partners, friends and leaders in the field who made my #BuildingBridges24 experience unforgettable and valuable, including Sakis Kotsantonis, Niklas Pape, Dimitrij Euler, Dennis West, Michael Kril-Mathres, Enrique Alvarado Hablutzel, Rosa Sangiorgio, Antonis Schwarz, Jenni Chamberlain, Mattias Lagerspetz, Ana Cristina Jaccard, Femke Smeets, Joris van der Putten, Anne Jackermeier, Oliver Marchand, Sandrine Henton, Jesús Fernández Muñoz, among others. Together, we’re not just envisioning a sustainable future - we’re building the bridges to make it a reality. Let’s keep the momentum going into 2025! 🌍✨

At RGS, we strongly believe that partnerships are the cornerstone of driving meaningful change. This year, we are proud to have joined forces with the International Foundation For Valuing Impacts (IFVI) to advance the adoption of #ImpactAccounting at scale. Recently, we’ve published a case study presenting how RG Sciences (RGS) applies impact accounting methodology, aligned to industry standards, to assess 10,000+ publicly listed companies. Some of our findings: 🩺 The healthcare sector stands out as the top performer, driven by the substantial positive impact of its products on customers’ well-being, the relatively high wages paid within the industry, and its comparatively lower environmental costs. 🪵 On the other hand, sectors with negative total impacts are characterized by high natural resource intensity and significant negative environmental impacts, often linked to high carbon emissions, waste generation, or resource depletion. 📊 RGS is able to use this data for a variety of customer use cases, from portfolio selection, investment management, reporting and compliance, equity research, portfolio impact analysis, benchmarking, index creation, and initiatives integrating impact into accounting. 📖 Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/eGNkVa2b A special thanks to Jaclyn Bakalarski, MBA, Andrea Serra, Carlos A. Solano, Beelan Yonas, Sakis Kotsantonis, Julia Veglesi, Nidhi Chadda for their invaluable work on this project! What are your thoughts on our insights and findings? Have questions about the case study? We’d love to hear from you! Leave your comments below or reach out to us at info@rgsciences.com. #ImpactInvesting #ImpactValuation #Sustainability #RGS

What makes a successful company? Today’s markets have aligned on a clear definition of success based on sustained growth and profitability according to well-established accounting standards. Tech company RG Sciences (RGS) wanted to see how profitability would change if environmental and social costs and benefits were included. Would the same companies still be profitable or successful? To test this, RGS gathered publicly available data on over 10,000 companies and then applied #impactaccounting calculations at scale. It’s findings? 🩺 The healthcare sector stands out as the top performer, driven by the substantial positive impact of its products on customers’ well-being, the relatively high wages paid within the industry, and its comparatively lower environmental costs.
