We are delighted that the refurbishment of this Calton Square office building has been granted planning permission by The City of Edinburgh Council. Laura Mitchell is our Project Manager on this project, and Ewan Wyllie is the Principal Designer - well done, team!! 👏🏼 Promoted by Ardstone Capital Limited on behalf of Manova Partners, asset manager to the asset owner, the vision for the repositioned Calton Square is to create a best-in-class office building comparable to the best in Europe, with the highest possible Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) standards and lowest carbon footprint. Located at the top of Leith Walk, the scheme provides almost 200,000 sq. ft. of office accommodation, with a number of roof terraces, co-working area and a striking internal atrium that has the potential to act as an auditorium suitable for a number of event types. Fronting onto Leith Street the building will retain the existing structure and will re-use existing materials on site where possible. Sustainability and net zero objectives have been established as a key consideration, delivering first class energy and environmental performance standards, with best-in-class ESG ratings targeted including Nabers 5*, WELL Platinum and BREEAM outstanding. Well done to Greig Mitchell and team!!
I’m happy to report that I made it to Fort William along the West Highland Way in 17.5 hours, over the past two days. It was really hard - the terrain, particularly along the banks of Loch Lomond, was brutal - carrying a bike for over 3 hours. The team of 11 had 9 punctures, 2 snapped chains and one of the guys had a really bad fall but all the pain was worth it for the cause - remembering Rab Wardell’s legacy whilst raising money for Cystic Fibrosis. It was emotional! 🥲 Hoping this money (circa £11,000 and counting) will truly help improve research and treatment for this illness. Here are some photos of this incredible adventure. I would encourage everyone to hit the trails in Scotland, the scenery is magic…what a beautiful country we live in. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
