Another exciting ReFAB Studio Roundtable - this time with exceptional tutors at Morley College London, each with distinct specialism in textiles, and a shared passion for sustainability.✨ Our founder, Rewati Prabhu shared the ReFAB Studio model of upcycling and upskilling and the profound impacts it can catalyse. She then led a discussion that was lively, insightful and through-provoking. The session ended with a commitment to set-up upcycling workshops and competitions for the Morley College students. ReFAB Studio looks forward to continue collaborating with Morley College in 2025 and inspiring students to creatively tackle the challenge of textile waste. Rewati Prabhu also spoke with Stephen Ellison Programme Area Manager- Textiles at Morley College about the wider themes around sustainability in interiors, through a podcast at the Morley Radio Station. Here’s to more connections! 💫
About us
ReFAB is proud to be part of the Kartik Prabhu Foundation, a charity devoted to supporting disadvantaged youths and communities. From day one, we’ve lived and breathed our values. They’re what make us who we are, and will carry us to where we’re going. From our zero-waste approach to our ethical partners, we’re devoted to our mission of creating hugely-positive social, economic and environmental impact in any way we can. ReFAB creates recycled lifestyle products you’ll cherish for years to come. We transform luxury fabrics destined for landfill into pieces you can feel really great about buying. Because each one not only reduces fabric waste, but also provides job opportunities to the local female artisans who lovingly handcraft all of our products too.

Take a look at our gorgeous drawstring bags - alternatives to giftwrapping paper. Upcycled, bespoke and handcrafted- the gift bag that keeps giving! https://refabstudio.org/
Here's a festive fun/shocking fact for a Thursday: Londoners use around 38,000 tonnes of paper and card at Christmas - that's enough to wrap Big Ben more than 34,000 times, the Gherkin over 30,000 times and the London Eye over 6,500 times! 😱 Source: WRAP We've carried out extensive research to better understand London's packaging footprint and how we can effectively tackle packaging waste and its associated damaging greenhouse gas emissions. Critical interventions include: ♻️ Boosting recycling rates ♻️ Promoting reusable packaging ♻️ Encouraging market demand for recycled content 📖 Download our report and discover how London can move to a circular economy for packaging materials: https://zurl.co/kfSl
