Provide Community's mobile clinic continues to improve access to essential healthcare for communities across Mid and South Essex. Working in partnership with Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, the project is helping to address health inequalities by bringing together community-based services to deliver a wide range of preventative, diagnostic, and therapeutic care for underserved communities in areas with high deprivation, including: ✅ Lung function tests ✅ Long-COVID clinics ✅ PoTS assessment ✅ Wellbeing support ✅ Sexual health Kez Spelman, Director of Innovation and Community Resilience at Provide Community, said: "The service user feedback was very positive, with people reporting that they would've not been able to address their issue without using the mobile unit, and alternatively would've been waiting for a GP appointment." We're proud to support this initiative which is helping to improve health outcomes and transform healthcare delivery: - 70% of clinics onboard the mobile unit are operating in the 20% most deprived areas nationally - Over 550 patients were seen within the first six months across the three core Provide services: the Long-COVID service, Essex Sexual Health Service, and Essex Wellbeing Service - 25% of people said they would have used an alternative service if they were not seen at the unit, 60% of which were GP appointments Watch our video to learn more about how the mobile clinic is enabling accessible healthcare.
