At Post Op, we want to deliver results for hospitals, clinicians and patients backed up by evidence and research. Our latest paper outlines positive impacts on patients following elective arthroplasty at Kettering General Hospital. All the patients had either total knee or hip replacements, and over 80% said they felt more confident in their recovery at home by using the Post Op app, and more than 97% would recommend the app to others. At a time when waiting lists are high and hospitals and clinicians are working extremely hard to treat patients, it's heartening to know that patients recognise the value of an app that is designed to put them at the forefront of their care. We look forward to more opportunities with clinicians on how Post Op can help manage peri-operative care. Journal link: https://lnkd.in/d4nNjW9e
About us
Developed by doctors to improve the communication issues faced by patients after surgery. There is no easily accessible global standardised follow up routine for surgical patients - and as a result, wound infections and complications make surgery the 3rd greatest contributor to deaths worldwide. Post Op is an interactive interface to communicate patient recovery outcomes with clinical teams in primary and secondary care – acting as the visual communication bridge between them. Post Op is proud to have a diverse team of clinicians and technologists from around the world, with in-depth knowledge of the cultural needs of patients everywhere. Our dream is for the patient experience after surgery, to reflect the best the world has to offer, no matter where the patient had their surgery. Post Op is the smarter way to recover.

We were delighted to present at the Nursing Times Digital Nursing event at the excellent Plexal event space in Stratford, east London. It was an opportunity for the Post Op team to speak directly to nurse managers at the forefront of NHS digital reform. It was a pleasure to talk to a live audience about why Post Op is putting patient experience front and centre of everything we do. Dr Chindu Kabir stressed why patient-led strategies in digital transformation are key in achieving success. With better communication between clinicians and patients, whilst incorporating the seamless integration of ERAS pathways for clinicians, he demonstrated how the Post Op app provides information and support to the patient, allowing clinicians to collect and analyse patient data remotely. It was heartening to meet with like-minded clinicians who want to see patient experience become a more important part of the clinical pathway.
