This week, our very own Michelle Hartley FCIPD has been super busy crisscrossing the country and attending all sorts of magical events (did you see the tour poster!?) 🚗 So we thought we’d share a few tips on looking after yourself when it feels like you're juggling a gazillion tasks and your mental energy is running low! 🌟 ✨ Prioritise Ruthlessly Focus on what truly matters. Say "no" to things that don't matter so you can keep your "yes's" for when you need them. ☕️ Take Mini-Breaks Give yourself permission for short pauses! A quick snack, some deep breaths, or a moment outside can clear the fog! 💖 Be Kind to Yourself Remember, you’re human! Some days are tougher than others. Rest is productive – it’s the fuel that keeps you going! 💫 Stay Connected Remind yourself why you do what you do. I litch fell off my chair when I read this quote from David MacLeod, because he's totes right! 🚨 Employee voice is THE most affordable and effective way to catch issues early - just like having a built-in smoke alarm that helps prevent costly problems before they escalate. Here are my top tips on harnessing your employees' voices: 🌈 Make it really safe for everyone to speak up! 🌈 Value every voice, no matter the role, level, or team. 🌈 Listen like you mean it—don’t ask a question and walk away before hearing the answer! 🌈 Celebrate and shout about employee ideas and wins. 🌈 Teamwork makes the dream work - get everyone involved! 🌈 Turn “you told us, so we did...” into a regular thing, so people know leadership is listening and taking action.
