This week, we hosted our first-ever ‘Meet the Tutor’ evening, inviting families to build connections with their children's tutors. It was a fantastic event, featuring workshops run by our incredible staff and engagement with various agencies that work closely with our school to support students. A huge thank you to our wonderful staff for their hard work throughout the evening, and extra special thanks to the BRIYM Building Resilience In Young Minds), Oxfordshire Mental Health Support Team (MHST), Early Help, the Locality Community Support Service (LCSS), and our local police liaison officer, JP, for joining us and connecting with our families. Big thanks to Scott Powles and the Sixth Form team who launched Unifrog an amazing platform that helps all our students explore and learn about future educational pathways. For Year 7, this was their first touchpoint with the school, and we wanted to make it extra special. Laura Kay and Bethany Scott introduced ‘OSA Make Their Day,’ a collaboration with parents and carers designed to provide unique experiences for students throughout the year. We’re excited to see this initiative in action! And to top it all off, we raised over £300 in our DT silent auction and enjoyed some incredible performances from our talented students from the OSA music department - big thanks to Amy de Sybel . It was truly a night to remember—great connections, great music, and great fun!

Confirmed for 2024-25 - Sixth Form trips to Vietnam and Thailand, learn more at our Sixth Form Open Evening 28th November! This July, Year 12 and Year 13 Physicists enjoyed a fantastic trip to CERN, led by Ms Hamnett, Mr Whiteley, and Mrs Merritt. They had a fascinating tour of CERN itself, and the incredible new interactive visitors centre, and also enjoyed boats across the lake, a cable car into the mountains, getting sprayed under the 130m high fountain Jet D’Eau, seeing the History of Science Museum, picnic in the park and much more. I am immensely proud of our dedicated PE department for taking on the Three Peaks Challenge this summer on July 25th. Our incredible team will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon—all within 24 hours! This remarkable endeavor is not just about conquering peaks; it's about making a lasting impact on our students' educational journey. The funds raised from this challenge will be used to enhance our PE department, bringing to life inspiring wall art and providing additional equipment for our students. Our commitment is to showcase the transformative power of physical education and to live by our motto: "Sport for all for life." I am so inspired by our team's passion and dedication to enriching the lives of our students. Their commitment exemplifies the heart and spirit of Oxford Spires Academy. Last week at OSA was a whirlwind of excitement and achievement! From election fever and celebrating the Performing Arts to hosting trainee teachers and a local athletics competition, it was non-stop action. We capped it all off with our students opening the Youth in Mind conference. Can’t wait to see what Enrichment Week, next week, has in store!
