For those new to Marmalade and wondering what on earth we do... 👀 👇 Each year, we at the The Old Fire Station, Oxford produce the Marmalade Festival in partnership with Skoll World Forum / Skoll Foundation. Our aim is to help connect people from around the world with global/local, strategic/grassroots perspectives.  Our focus is systems change through the lens of people, power and place.  Over the years we have welcomed thousands to explore sessions ranging from interactive workshops to film screenings, networking events to campaign launches. Themes tend to be about the big issues facing our planet: climate, social justice, big tech, colonial legacy, impact measurement, funding and power. Marmalade has become a destination event with deep local roots and a global reputation. It is a warm space for people doing good locally, nationally and internationally to share ideas and find support and encouragement. We can't wait to welcome your applications to host a session... We’re excited to announce the launch of our match-funded Big Give campaign to bring our Bright Nights Festival to life! From 7-18 October, we’re aiming to raise £10,000 to create a magical winter festival for the entire community. This year, we’re doing something different— a festival that unites everyone with £1 tickets, free hot drinks or food, accessible performances, music, and creative workshops. Our theatre, cafe, and gallery will be transformed into spaces filled with joy, creativity, and connection, celebrating local artists. We’ll work with Crisis to welcome those experiencing homelessness. Help us make this dream a reality by donating today! We are looking for a Cafe Manager to develop our cafe offer, diversify income streams and ensure the cafe runs smoothly with excellent customer service providing an informed welcome for all. This role will work closely with Damascus Rose Kitchen, a social enterprise supporting Syrian and Arabic-speaking refugee women, serving delicious Middle Eastern food in our cafe.
