  • SubC Imaging’s Rayfin Observatory Camera captures the rhythms of underwater ecosystems, and has been deployed to observe and monitor sub-Arctic marine ecosystems. 🧭 In the sub-Arctic fjords off Newfoundland's rugged coast, an ambitious exploration is unfolding beneath the waves. At the heart of this effort lies the Holyrood Subsea Observatory, an advanced platform enabling researchers to delve into the intricate interactions between marine life and the seasonal forces that shape their environment. 🎥 Central to this groundbreaking initiative is the Rayfin Observatory Camera from SubC Imaging, a robust and versatile tool capturing the rhythms of underwater ecosystems with unprecedented clarity. 🔬 A recent study — titled “A first look at megabenthic community responses to seasonal change using the new Holyrood Subsea Observatory in Conception Bay, NL” — highlights the first findings from this observatory. With high-frequency, time-lapse imagery, the research unveiled seasonal changes in benthic communities, including the intriguing emergence of Psolus cf. phantapus, correlating with warmer waters and the arrival of vital food sources.👏 🌊 Visit the Ocean Science & Technology website for further information.

Our LinkedIn audience doubled last year. Here's how video content helped make it happen... Last year we decided to try something new. We introduced video content into our social media strategy - and the results speak for themselves. 🎥 Our LinkedIn audience grew by an incredible 100% and video content definitely played a significant role in driving that growth 📈. Videos have allowed us to engage with our audience in new ways, tell compelling stories for our clients, and connect with our wider community. Creating high-quality, meaningful video content takes time, collaboration, and a clear understanding of what your audience values most. The UST and OST teams have experimented with a mix of short-form and longer in-depth videos to deliver compelling content that’s really resonated with the unmanned and ocean science communities. Most importantly, it's about creating the right content, for the right audience. Beyond the growth in numbers, we’ve seen higher engagement rates, increased shares and saves, and more conversations. It’s shown us how powerful storytelling can be in helping to share technical innovations and industry advancements. A huge thank you to the team that embraced this shift and made it happen. Here’s to building on what we learnt last year, and continuing to innovate into 2025! 🌟 Please do comment below with suggestions for content you'd like to see from Unmanned Systems Technology and Ocean Science & Technology this year... And if you'd like to find out how your solutions could be featured in one of our videos, just send me a message. #DigitalStrategy #AudienceEngagement #Growth #ContentCreation
