School of Thought. Body of Practice. Space for Learning.
About us
Oasis Human Relations is a not-for-profit learning, research and consultancy organisation. We are a school of thought, a body of practice and a space for learning. We have been at the forefront of human relations practice and consulting for over 40 years, inspiring and developing responsible leadership, and developing practitioners to develop others with impact and professionalism. We are a collaborative development and learning organisation, disrupting conventional practices by taking a radical and compassionate approach to learning and leadership. We work with people and their questions, key decision makers, communities and the workplaces of tomorrow. Despite new ways of working, those in key positions of responsibility often face situations when the tried-and-tested solutions fail to deliver results. Our solid reputation is based on the quality of our services, our holistic approach and the meaningful, sustainable relationships shaped by those we work with. As a partner of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative since 2004, we have an international reputation for our work and research and we are the global pioneers in the application and the practice of Whole Person Learning.

Could be a fantastic opportunity for weaving many contexts within and around a beautiful setting - a perfect place to slow the pace in a time of urgency. Perhaps even calling for a catalytic blend of convening and creative forces and enterprises.
Are you an organisation that can help us plan, programme and deliver a two day free public event in our home city of York? The event will take place in summer 2025 in Homestead Park. 🌱 Our vision for the event is - a celebration of the park’s roots and its role in bringing people together - a moment to share our ambition for the park as a space for community and sustainability - a catalyst for local partnerships, showcasing York’s talent and creativity - a radically inclusive experience where everyone feels welcome. 🔎 Find out more: https://lnkd.in/ePqrTDgc

💡🛠 Rebuilding Resilience: Reflections from the Oasis Foundation Director 🔄🌻 🌍 In a world seemingly defined by noise and chaos, it’s easy to focus on the fractures and crises unfolding around us. Yet, amidst the upheaval, something quietly transformative is emerging at the edges — a collective effort to reimagine how we live and thrive together. 🔧 Across the country, communities are building parallel systems of resilience — from food networks 🍞 to repair cafes and libraries of things 📚. 🌿 Ecologies of Community may hold the key to navigating an uncertain future. In this piece, Chris Taylor, Director of the Oasis Foundation, explores and maps transformative community movements that offer an alternate vision for our shared future. 🔗 Read Chris's thought-provoking reflections here: https://lnkd.in/dFD6i-XX

🌟 Spotlight on Migrant Action 🌟 This August, Migrant Action met for a Strategy Residential at the beautiful Parcevall Hall in the Yorkshire Dales. Newly certified as an independent charity, the team reflected on their journey since 2016, connected deeply, and planted seeds for systemic justice and a world without borders. 🌍✨ Facilitated by Heather Barker and Laurie Spafford from Oasis Human Relations and supported by Oasis Foundation, the group tackled critical questions: What is Migrant Action’s role in a turbulent and often hostile world? What does success look like in the fight for justice and equity? Through laughter, debate, strategy, and shared vision, they reaffirmed their commitment to hope and empowerment for migrants across the UK and beyond. 💬🤝 📖 Read more about the Strategy Residential here: https://lnkd.in/d4QUaqrD #TransformativeJustice #MigrantAction #SystemicChange #Empowerment #Hope #NoBorders
