We're on the lookout for a new VA or office support person at Noisy Cricket. Its administrative and operationally focused, as opposed to diary management and personal tasks, so we need someone who's a problem-solver and is self organising in supporting the wider team. Expressions of interest deadline is next Friday 19th April. Who should we be speaking to? https://lnkd.in/e2qkrkQr

So much has surprised us over the last three months, asking (potential) practitioners within organisations what their main challenges, opportunities and needs are, especially as they journey towards undertaking more transformational community engagement. Wanting to push beyond monetary "value" alone and understand what success looks like to communities is a major driver, with the fear of being vulnerable and embracing the failure and learning that comes on the road to success a significant barrier. Yet, its the need to collaborate, internal and external to organisations, and demonstrate resilience and alternative routes, that most makes the difference in living and breathing a new way of work, centring the people our organisations exist t0 serve over egos and agendas. We now have a clear idea of how we'll be co-creating our Shared Learning Ecosystem with those practitioners and participants keen to see engagement mutually benefit both organisations and communities alike. Come find out more this Thursday about how you can become a pioneer partner... Special thanks to Hilary Stephenson Amy Czuba Dr Sarah Knowles Ibtisam B. We getting closer to working out what our Shared Learning Ecosystem for Transformational Community Engagement will look like, and how we help organisations ensure readiness for, optimise the impact of and realise the value of practising it. In our last session, we learned that evidence the mutual benefit of organisational value and community impact is essential, as well as embracing our humanity and recognising that mistakes and failure are integral to realising success for both practitioners and participants of community engagement. Facilitating connections too, between people and around insights was flagged as foundational for great community engagement practice, so all these (plus the existing insights and solutions we have help organisations let go of assumptions and agendas plus do things differently) are taking shape. We'll be sharing what we've learned from potential partners over the last few months, what you've asked for which will inform our InnovateUK bid to make this a reality, and our proposal to get you on board in co-creating it. Come join us on Thursday 11th April to learn more... https://lnkd.in/gi6KkJ-s

Beyond the practical facets of engaging communities - targeting, reaching, communicating and engaging with people from sometimes marginalised and vulnerable groups - there's the approach you take That's why, in looking to co-create a Shared Learning System for Transformational Community Engagement with organisational practitioners and community participants, we'll be looking at how as much as the what of its practice. Before you can optimise impact through centring lived experience, you have to be ready to shift power. For you to be willing and able to shift power, however, you have to understand how this is valuable for your organisation. All of this goes to the why, which is creating solutions which mutually benefit organisations as much as it does communities. To do that, we have to get to the root causes of what hinders our organisations in creating social possibilities which enable everyone to thrive. Come join us this Thursday 21st March on Zoom, so that we can dig into the holistic perspectives on the biggest challenges and opportunities facing organisations in delivering community engagement, prioritise what we should be focusing on and informing our (funding dependent) plan for the next five years. https://lnkd.in/egXU8faC

Where are you starting to see community engagement show up in industry or sector? Over the past few years, we've seen it evolve in maturity within the social sectors, and start to seep into public and academic practice. More and more organisations are starting to see the value of community engagement, and the importance of putting the people our organisations exist to serve central 🌍 Yet, community engagement isn't a neatly packaged practice you can pack up into a box. It's a constantly evolving, lived and breathed approach, that takes both the practitioners and participant on quite the journey 🗺 Until you're in it, it's hard to assess how ready you are, or what's needed to optimise impact. Noisy Cricket, we're in the throes of exploring how we might share our seven years experience in transformational community engagement, where co-creating mutually beneficial solutions has been to ensuring both community impact and organisational value 🤝 We want to understand the biggest challenges and opportunities you have in facing it, and invite you to join us to in shaping journey. We're looking to shape a Shared Learning Ecosystem for Transformational Community Engagement, and partners with test cases who want to evolve their own approach ❤️ Fancy joining us next Thursday 21st March to help shape ours? https://lnkd.in/egXU8faC

In our seven years working in community engagement - bringing organisations and communities together to co-create new social possibilities - there's one thing its success hinges on... It's an organisation's willingness to not just listen, but its ability do something different as a result of engaging those they exist to serve. It's in letting go of knowing best, relinquishing control and opening up decision making that organisation's realise new choices and opportunities, not just to create impact for their communities, but value for their organisation in its wake. We're exploring how we might share our learning with other organisations to help them undertake transformational community engagement, and want to hear from you what's going to help you on your journey... Who fancies joining us on Thursday 21st March online to dig into how we help you realise the value of, ensure readiness for and optimising the impact of transformational community engagement? https://lnkd.in/egXU8faC
