We hoped to win but didn't expect TWO Architects’ Journal Architecture Awards for the incredible Rosebank Distillery! What a fantastic surprise to win for Leisure Project 2024 and the Editor's Choice Award. “The jury loved this project, saying it truly combined ‘social and historic heritage’. The stakeholders invested in this ‘great community offering’ without expectation of seeing any return for at least 10 years. It showed great confidence in the heritage of the scheme and its community. Many thanks to everyone who joined us last week for our ‘Future Fit Retrofit’ panel discussion. Critical in our journey to reduce emissions, adapt to a changing climate and improve health and wellbeing; it’s an important topic for our industry. Addressing this imperative our panellists explored the opportunities and benefits of retrofit. The conversation included the appropriate levels of intervention, collaboration and risk management, communication and transparency and how we go forward from here. Preparations are underway for Mix Interiors Awards North in Manchester tonight! We're delighted to be shortlisted for three categories, including 'Design Practice of the Year'. Having set up our Manchester office only 18 months ago this is a fantastic endorsement for Director Stevie Leigh and our Manchester team as well as our teams in Glasgow and Edinburgh. We'll also be cheering on Rosebank Distillery for 'Project of the Year Public Sector and Cultural Interiors' in partnership with Brand Home designers Contagious. and OVO's Glasgow hub is a finalist in 'Project of the Year - Workplace Interiors - 30,000 to 70,000 sq ft' It's a big night for the interiors sector and we're delighted to be part of it. We were honoured that Rosebank Distillery was selected as the venue for the historic signing of the Falkirk and Grangemouth Growth deal earlier this month. Although Rosebank is not a direct recipient of any funds, the £100 million investment marks a transformative step forward for the Falkirk area, paving the way for regeneration, innovation, and economic prosperity that will positively impact the community for years to come. Rosebank Distillery was selected to host the event as the regeneration of the site is showpiece development in the region.
