📸 Day 2 of #MillenniumSymposium24 marked the closing of this year’s event! We had three remaining panels, and a fantastic roundtable discussion with our guest scholars. The Symposium’s theme, ‘Traversing Memories in Global Politics’, elicited illuminating interventions. The photos are of: 💡Panel 5 discussing ‘Global Memory and Trauma Practices’. 💡Panel 6 ‘Navigating Violence and Security through Transnational Memory’. 💡Panel 7, our last panel, unpacking ‘Traversing Imperial and Colonial Legacies’. 🤝 And, finally, we had the privilege of hearing from Giorgio Shani, Jenny Edkins, Jie-Hyun Lim, and Adam Lerner in the closing roundtable discussion, reflecting on this year’s theme and papers. The roundtable was led by discussant Mark Hoffman. 📸 Here are all of our amazing participants and guest scholars! Many thanks to all of you for presenting your invigorating and important work. ✍️ Millennium Vol. 53 Editors who made the #MillenniumSymposium24 happen: Woohyeok Seo, Kinti Orellana, and Pauline Zerla 👏🏼

💬Day 1 of #MillenniumSymposium24 was fantastic! We had a brilliant keynote lecture delivered by Jenny Edkins entitled ‘Trauma Time and the Political: Memory, Community, and Resistance.’ Next, we had four engaging panels with wonderful panellists and productive discussion. Panel 1 was titled ‘Traversing Conceptual Entanglements.’ Panel 2 discussed ‘Spatiotemporal Reconfigurations.’ Panel 3 was on ‘Re-membering beyond humans.’ And, the last panel of the day, Panel 4 titled ‘Technological Legacies and Memory: Non-Humans in Warfare, Crisis, and Conflict.’ Thank you all our participants who made Day 1 a success! Today, we’re looking forward to the remaining three panels and a roundtable discussion with Giorgio Shani, Jenny Edkins, Jie-Hyun Lim, and Adam Lerner. Stay tuned!
