Author and Mencap Myth Buster Michael Beynon's inspiring journey to gaining a Guinness World Records! Michael, a 29-year-old marathon runner from North Wales with Down Syndrome, has just achieved a Guinness World Record by walking an incredible 100.17km in just one week! As a Mencap Myth Buster, Michael is committed to challenging misconceptions about people with a learning disability. He said: 💬" I’m so happy about achieving this Guinness World Records title!" His hope for aspiring sportspeople: 💬 “I hope this 100km challenge encourages others to get out and stay active." #GuinnessWorldRecords

🌟 Mencap Myth Buster and Football Coach, Sas shares what an unforgettable year 2024 has been! 💬 "The highlight of 2024 was going to Norway on a cruise with my friends and my support worker. It was a memory of a lifetime that I will never forget. I started football training with Worthing town and when we played a tournament I scored a goal and we won by 5-1 and 4-1. It was brilliant! I went to watch Brighton Women play a match against West Ham with one of my friends. Brighton won 3-2 which was very exciting."
