The Role of AI in Education: Pioneering Personalised Learning and Inclusive Growth: The London School of Leadership, Investment, and Technology (LSLIT) has been promoting the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education since its journey in 2019. Through impactful workshops such as AI in Education, The Future of Education, 21st Century Teaching and Learning, and Using AI Responsibly, we collaborated with various educational institutions across the UK. These initiatives have been designed to normalise the use of AI in education, showcasing its potential to enhance personalised learning experiences while emphasising the importance of ethical and responsible use. At LSLIT, we firmly believe that modern education cannot thrive without the transformative intervention of AI. AI-enabled personalised learning provides educational experiences that meet individual students' needs, pacing, and learning styles, bringing better engagement. Furthermore, inclusivity and diversity are central to our mission. We actively champion education for underrepresented and disadvantaged communities, ensuring equitable access to AI-powered resources and learning tools. Addressing Barriers to Education and Employment in the UK Recent statistics underscore the importance of addressing educational and employment disparities in the UK. According to reports, many of the UK remain unemployed or underemployed due to a lack of proper guidance, skills, and access to quality education. For instance, a study by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) 2023 highlighted that approximately 8.5% of young people aged 16-24 were classified as NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training). The UK government has recognised this challenge, introducing targeted grants and programmes to upskill these communities and connect them to lifelong learning and career opportunities. At LSLIT, we have partnered with charities that support disadvantaged communities by introducing modern, 21st-century teaching methods and lifelong learning opportunities. These organisations provide skill-based training and facilitate pathways into apprenticeships, further education (FE), and higher education (HE). Collaboration Opportunities for Charities With a wealth of experience supporting students through higher education placements, apprenticeships, and skill-based training, LSLIT actively seeks collaboration with like-minded charities and organisations. Our programmes are designed to: Provide mentorship and career guidance tailored to individual needs. Support charities in securing funding to enhance their educational impact. Facilitate apprenticeships, FE, and HE placements for disadvantaged students. Advocate for diversity and inclusivity in modern education. #AI_In_Education #Life_Long_Learning #Personalised_Learning #Curriculum_Design #Workshop #Charity #LSLIT_Foundation #21st_Century_Teaching #Collaboration

What Is a Social Enterprise? A social enterprise is a business model that balances profit-making with addressing social or environmental issues. Unlike traditional businesses, profits are reinvested to achieve their social mission rather than maximising returns for shareholders. They can take various legal forms, including Community Interest Companies (CICs), cooperatives, or private limited companies. Importantly, social enterprises focus on sustainability and financial independence. They generate most of their income through trading goods or services rather than relying solely on donations. This dual approach enables them to remain agile and impactful while often employing paid staff to sustain their operations. Charity vs. Social Enterprise: Clearing the Misconceptions There’s often confusion about the difference between a charity and a social enterprise: Charities rely heavily on donations and grants, often governed by unpaid trustees. They operate with a philanthropic mindset, focusing on giving back. On the other hand, Social Enterprises run more like businesses, aiming to generate profit while driving social change. They are governed by directors or members who may also receive compensation. While volunteers play a role, paid staff is central to their functioning. This stigma surrounding social enterprises that function like charities undermines their business-oriented mindset, which ensures long-term impact and growth. They prove that you can “do good” while being financially viable. The Intersection of Social Purpose and Business Strategy A social enterprise sits uniquely at the intersection of social and business layers, which can create tension: The social layer focuses on the mission—addressing inequality, promoting sustainability, or supporting marginalised communities. The business layer ensures operational efficiency, income generation, and financial sustainability. Balancing these layers is the key to success. Misalignment can result in mission drift (over-prioritising profit) or financial struggles (over-focusing on the social mission). #Social_Business #Social_Enterprise #Making_Money_Doing_Good #Social_Marketing #Social_Justice #Business_Development #Start_Up_UK

What's the Difference Between Formative and Summative Assessment? Formative Assessment Goal: To monitor student learning and provide ongoing feedback for improvement. Benefits: It helps students identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas needing work. Enables instructors to pinpoint and address challenges immediately. Low stakes (little or no point value). Examples: 1. Creating a concept map to illustrate topic understanding. 2. Submitting a sentence summarizing the main point of a lecture. 3. Turning in a draft research proposal for early feedback. Summative Assessment Goal: To evaluate student learning at the end of an instructional unit against a benchmark. Characteristics: High stakes (significant point value). Measures overall achievement. Examples: 1. Midterm exams. 2. Final projects. 3. Research papers or recitals. Bonus Tip: Summative assessments can also be used formatively when feedback informs future learning efforts! #Assessment #formative #summative #life_long_learning #edutech #higher_education #Education #Assessments #studentlearning

Waterfall ==> Agile: Revolutionising Software Development and Work Culture Tech companies have long evolved their strategies for software updates, shifting from the traditional Waterfall Model to the dynamic Agile Management Model. One of the most exciting applications of this evolution is the release of beta versions. Here’s why this shift has been a game-changer: The Waterfall Model: A Look Back 🏗️ Previously, software development followed the Waterfall Model, where each phase (planning, design, development, testing, deployment) was completed sequentially. While structured, it often faced significant drawbacks. ❌Inflexibility ❌Delayed Feedback ❌Long Lead Times The Agile Model: The Modern Game-Changer 🔄 The Agile Management Model has redefined the iterative Development approach in today's fast-paced environment. By releasing beta versions, companies can test features in smaller increments. ✔️Faster Feedback Loops ✔️Adaptability ✔️Reduced Lead Time Agile Management in Work Culture: A Perfect Fit? 💡 The Agile philosophy isn’t just for software—it can transform work culture too! Here’s how to implement it: 1️⃣ Collaborative Teams 2️⃣ Continuous Improvement 3️⃣ Incremental Goals 4️⃣ Flexibility and Adaptation What’s your experience with Agile Management?
