As we move closer to the Net Zero goals, the building services engineering sector is more critical than ever. We are looking for someone to support us in shaping the qualifications needed to help installers transition into renewables. This is an exciting opportunity that will contribute directly to the successful role out of low carbon heating solutions, such as heat pumps. 📍 What We're Offering: - A home-based role - Support to achieve your External Verifier (EV) qualification - the role includes overseeing a small number of centres in addition to leading qualifications - A chance to collaborate with a forward-thinking team dedicated to innovation and excellence in vocational education 📍 What We're Looking For: - A minimum of 10 years in the industry, with a strong background in renewable technologies - Plumbing qualifications Level 3 or higher - All renewable heat qualifications (minimum requirement) - Ideally holds Teaching, Assessor, and IQA qualifications 📍 Additional Skills and Attributes: - Demonstrated experience in writing and designing new courses - A proven track record in renewables - A confident, independent, and proactive approach - Strong digital skills and comfort with technology - Possesses an inquiring and technical mind, with a passion for learning and innovation 🔗 Interested? I am pleased by yesterday's Warm Homes announcement, which overall shows the government’s continued commitment to the drive to Net Zero and the Electrification of Heat. The additional funds put towards the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) in 25/26 will support market growth and changes to the Clean Heat Market Mechanism are pragmatic, allowing UK manufacturers to invest in heat pumps and ultimately bolster our economy. The move to a low carbon future has financial as well as environmental benefits. Well done to Ideal Heating for winning over £5m to bolster heat pump production capacity.
