Today we’re excited to announce that we’ve acquired a 92% stake in Liverpool ONE, Liverpool’s leading retail destination and one of the best performing in the country. Part of our ongoing strategy to invest in major retail, our acquisition of Liverpool ONE means we’ll now own and manage seven of the UK’s top 30 retail centres. Opened in 2008, Liverpool ONE is one of the most modern retail destinations in the UK, offering a strong mix of local, British and international retail, food and beverage, and leisure brands that attract footfall of 22 million people per year.  Through our ownership, we’ll bring our expertise in managing and owning our leading retail platform and our commitments to creating social and economic value for the cities we invest in to build on the success of Liverpool ONE and its contribution to Liverpool’s growth. 7. SEPHORA x Bluewater Yesterday morning saw Bluewater's biggest opening of 2024. Sephora has been far and away the most requested brand by Bluewater guests in recent surveys and its great to see so many of them at the opening ceremony. The queues started at 6pm on Tuesday night with several hundred excited guests camping out overnight to get into their new "Beauty Playground". The Sephora team put on quite a show with DJs, dancing and flag waving ahead of a noisy ribbon cutting at 9am. Thank you to Sarah Boyd, Nicolas Markovic and their Sephora colleagues for bringing some excitement and glamour to Kent on a wet Wednesday morning. Thank you also the Landsec team of Ruth McFetridge, Ben Leaver, Olivia Dunn, Tim Cooper and many others, along with our agent Jerry White and solicitor Julitta Yates. And, of course, the Bluewater centre team who always professionally manage the large crowds and keep our guests safe and happy at these events. Sephora is the fourth new brand to open on Lower Rose Gallery since the 13th November, joining Bershka, PULL&BEAR, Office Shoes, and Peter Alexander, all building on the success of last year's upsize of UNIQLO. We’ve partnered with London's Community Kitchen and Fleet Street Quarter to launch the Urban Farmer Project, a first-of-its-kind initiative that's growing fresh produce, and transforming food that would be wasted into substantial meals.   Utilising our former bar at Hill House, we’re addressing locals issues in the community and bringing unique, all-new experiences to this part of London including farmers' markets, creative studios, and a Waste Lab.

Earlier this year, nine executive leadership team members (ELT) were each paired with a more junior colleague for a six-month reverse mentoring opportunity. Each ELT member spoke to Landsec colleagues to learn more about their personal experiences, which included maternity leave, LGBT+ inclusion, neurodiversity, and ethnic diversity. The initiative is part of both our commitment to building inclusive leaders and supporting the development of diverse talent. As a real estate industry leader, we're committed to prioritising diversity and inclusion at all levels. Here's CEO of Landsec U+I, Mike Hood and Senior Digital Marketing Manager Leeanne (Lil) Couch's experience: 👇
