As we near the end of a hugely significant year in mental health, we can reflect on a period of change, progress and transition. A new UK government, a new Mental Health Bill and major technological advancements set against a backdrop of financial uncertainty and an ongoing global mental health crisis. At Kooth, we can reflect on a challenging yet encouraging year full of highs and lows. We were recognised at a diverse array of awards ceremonies for our innovation and pioneering approach to building healthier populations, while we continue to develop new tools, methods and processes for delivering impactful mental health support at scale. Southdown has selected our digital mental wellbeing service for adults, Qwell to join the UOK partnership. Available via www.uok.org.uk, Qwell will provide adults in Brighton & Hove, and East Sussex with a free, safe and anonymous, personalised digital mental health support. Funded by NHS Sussex, Brighton & Hove City Council, and East Sussex County Council, Qwell has been selected for its alignment with the Sussex Transforming Community Mental Health Services programme, which focuses on ensuring that people are able to access the appropriate wellbeing support they need, when they need it. Neil Blanchard, Chief Executive at Southdown, explained: “Investing in Qwell aligns with our commitment to support and promote good mental wellbeing for all; this includes offering people a choice of support that meets their needs. Qwell's integration capabilities and unique out-of-hours provision make it a valuable addition to the UOK partnership, NHS services, as well as the wider mental health network of services across Brighton & Hove and East Sussex.” #MentalHealthSupport #AdultMentalHealth #EastSussex

We’re proud to be partnering with the Centre for Mental Health in the launching of the, 'Mapping the Mental Health of the UK's Young People' report. Mapping mental health across the UK is critical in improving our understanding of mental health among UK young people and in better targeting support and prevention - so that we can turn the tide on the mental health crisis. As our very own, Lynne Green, Chief Clinical Officer at Kooth Digital Health (United Kingdom), explains within the report: “Young people’s chances of good or poor mental health are shaped by the places they live in and the support available to them. By understanding the levels of need, steps can be taken to prevent problems whenever possible, and provide support wherever and however it’s needed." Click the post below to read the full report release and join us in advocating for a mentally healthier population. #Kooth #MentalHealthMatters #YouthMentalHealth #CentreForMentalHealth #MentalHealthSupport
Our new data map reveals stark disparities in children's mental health across the four UK nations - and underscores the need for urgent action to turn this around. Drawing from the latest data, our new data map with Kooth Digital Health (United Kingdom) shows the prevalence of mental health difficulties across the UK, including rates of eating disorders and self-harm, hospital admissions and secondary care referrals, and wider factors such as loneliness, school absence and bullying. Visualising data in these maps can help schools, health services and local councils to understand the mental health needs of the children and young people they serve. 💡 Explore the tool: https://lnkd.in/ey5EtHCJ #YoungPeople #ChildrensMentalHealth #MentalHealth
