A festive, heart warming post incoming 🎁🎄 Recently Amy Callaghan (Assoc CIPD) told us about an event which happens every month in Cardiff, organised by a group of volunteers of all ages. Every month, one road in Cardiff is closed for the day so local children can play safely in the street without any worry of harm. At each event, hot chocolate and marshmallows are provided for the children and volunteers. The team were finding they were running out of cups and this was when Amy came to us. She asked if we could help... Of course we could! We sent across a box of the Hodge travel mugs for everyone to use. Safety is the name of the game for the kids AND volunteers, so we wanted to do anything we could to help 💛 Look at all their smiling faces. When we first talked about what the festive season meant to us as kids, Laura made a great point: "It means more to me now than it ever did as a kid." And she's absolutely right. The festive season evolves and what matters most can mean something different as we grow. On the 11th day of December, Marketing ate lots of 🧀 Last week the Marketing team got together for their annual festive buffet AND Secret Santa exchange. One thing we can confirm about the buffet is that it's held in high regard throughout the walls of Hodge HQ. Rules for the Marketing Secret Santa: - Must be from a local charity shop 💛 - Maximum £5 spend ❗ Rules for the Marketing buffet: - Cheese 🧀 4th wall break here but I (Lewis Stephen Dite) was over the moon with my Secret Santa gifts this year 🤶🎁 We like to say Hodge is here for the moments that matter, and that applies with our colleagues and communities too. Christmas can be an expensive time which is why our gift exchange gives everyone in the team the chance to give back without having to break the bank. It's amazing the bargains you can pick up in a charity shop! Here's a quick little snippet of the team wishing you the best festive season while full to the brim with Brie and mince pies.
