How powerful is your voice? I went to a Tom Jones concert in the summer. He still has such a powerful voice. Our voices carry more than words – they hold power, intent, presence. So, how do you get heard? ✓ Start with Clarity. Know what you stand for; and let that drive your voice. ✓ Stand with Confidence. Speak as if what you’re saying is worth every ear’s attention. ✓ Seek Connection. Engage. Look for understanding, not just agreement. When you speak with: ♥ Clarity ♥ Confidence; and ♥ Connection... your words leave a mark. 🎯 What is your technique for being heard?

🎄 Family, Connection, and Gratitude 🎄 Amid the whirlwind of career goals and daily demands, Christmas offers you a moment to pause. To celebrate the people who anchor you. To reflect on the love and support that fuel you. And to remember… that success isn’t just measured in achievements - but in the connections you nurture. ❤️I’m grateful for my family who support and inspire me, and for the friends who feel like family too. Wishing you and yours a Christmas filled with love, laughter, and rest. 🎁✨

✨ Career breaks and sabbaticals – career disruptors or game-changers? Lilly and I were thrilled to see Adele 🎶 before she announced she was taking a break from being in the public eye. It got me thinking about a conversation I had with a client. She was concerned how to capture a sabbatical on her CV. For many senior professionals, the thought of taking extended time off can bring up mixed emotions: - Will this hurt my career? - How will it look on my CV? I think career breaks are more commonplace and accepted these days. I took a year out and I have never looked back. So, what’s the benefit? → Increased Creativity and Clarity → Reduced Burnout → Better Work-Life Balance. 💬 What do you think? Would a sabbatical help or hinder your career journey? Ever been mansplained, manterrupted, or had your idea “bropriated”? 🙄 You know the drill ladies. You’re in a meeting, you speak up, and BAM ⚡ someone (usually a man - sorry but not sorry) interrupts you AND the moment your idea gets some airtime suddenly it’s being “repeated” by the same guy sitting across from you as if it’s his groundbreaking thought. 🤯 Research shows that women get interrupted more than men, especially by men! And when a man repeats your idea “verbatim” and gets the credit… Well, that’s called "bropriating" (yes, it’s a thing). These interruptions can make women less likely to speak up - giving men more "floor time" to shine and make decisions 😒 So, what can you do about it? 💡 Tip 1: Interrupting isn’t polite. Next time someone cuts you off, be firm but polite. Try: “Excuse me, I’m speaking, and I’d love to finish this thought before we dive into yours.” 💡 Tip 2: Don’t let your ideas get “borrowed” without a trace. If someone repeats your idea, claim it. ✨ Try: “Yes, that was exactly my point, thank you for raising it again” 💡 Tip 3: Create an environment where everyone gets equal floor time. All voices should be heard—not just the loudest! Try: “Let’s go around the room so we hear from everyone!” So next time someone tries to ... mansplain, manterrupt, or bropriate, just REMEMBER - you’re not just here to listen, you’re here to lead. Community Builds Powerful Women Leaders 🫶 I am excited to be attending the WIG Alumni event tonight. This is a wonderful opportunity to reunite with all the incredible women I have worked with on previous cohorts. Coming together to reconnect and share our journeys. So many people to catch up with, so little time! It will be like speed dating! Wish me luck ;-)
