Innisfree Housing Association reposted this
It was good to be on site with our client Innisfree Housing Association as they took possession of 16 new affordable homes at Ridgeway Views, formerly the National Institute of Medical Research in Mill Hill. Working in association with L&Q’s Build London Partnership scheme, the homes on the Barratt Homes development include a mix of 13 apartments for rent and 3 for shared ownership which are available through SiteSales. Innisfree chief executive John Delahunty said: “We are so pleased that this scheme, in partnership with L&Q, has now come to fruition and we are delighted to provide this new accommodation for our tenants. Our homes are part of this very attractive development, with great views of town and country. "Askival ’s support to Innisfree has allowed us to achieve a positive outcome, helping us to be clear about the risks (and opportunities) during the life of the development - something that is so important to a smaller organisation, with only one or two schemes in development. "Working with Mike Nestor has felt like having an extended Innisfree team – bringing the particular knowledge and experience of the legal, design and technical aspects of new build to complement our own clarity of the needs of our future residents.” As project managers, Askival complements Innisfree’s in-house skills by providing development management services. The remit covers new business, scheme delivery and general development support. Askival chief executive Mike Nestor said: “It is a pleasure to represent Innisfree and to work alongside John Delahunty and his team. No scheme is without its challenges but this is where we like to excel by using our skills to overcome hurdles and generate co-operation and teamwork.” Innisfree was first registered as a housing association in 1985 to address the poor health and housing conditions of the local Irish community in Brent. It now owns 600 homes, mainly in North & West London, serving the housing needs of Irish and other Londoners.
