We mentioned in our last post cooking up a storm for the horde! Our lovely alliance with EPIC.LAN continued last week with us providing cameras and crew for this celebration of the biggest games ever. 6 Panasonic Broadcast & ProAV Europe PTZs with our roaming Sony Z450 roaming utilising the Gigawave RF helped bring to life two wonderful broadcasts! Thanks to Jon for bringing us aboard and we can't wait for the next project working with them which is beginning very soon!

EPIC.LAN Managing Director - Gaming & Esports Events and Production Agency

I like a challenge. This one took us to one of the most fun and rewarding shows of my entire career. EPIC.LAN has been putting together gaming events and productions for 21 years now. We've worked on hundreds of shows for Twitch's Brand Partnership Studio either directly or supporting other agencies, but they usually have gameplay at the heart, not pots & pans. So when Sam Grant came to me and asked us to put on a cooking show to celebrate the Flavours of Azeroth with Amazon Fresh and 20 years of World of Warcraft, it took me by surprise. We don't normally get a chance to work on shows like this compared to the usual suspects. We were handed the brief and trust to run the broadcast, find a host (with a brief of speaking English & German, knowing World of Warcraft and who likes cooking) and sort the location, set design and cooking elements. We knew we couldn't handle all this alone, and unlike some agencies, I've got no problem bringing in and recognising the right people to get the job done, we find the right solutions for the project. First port of call was the amazing SANDSTORM FILMS. Having worked on a previous shoot at their Wiltshire studio, I knew that Tom Ward (supported by his brilliant team of Jenny, Kitt, Joe, Katrina and Eathan and Chef!) would be able to take on the challenge and they made the whole process a dream. They designed and hand-built the set on site, managed all the props, lit the show, arranged hair & makeup and worked with their chef to prepare the recipes and then seamlessly joined the floor crew when we went live to ensure everything went to plan, all while looking after all of us with great hospitality. Then completing the crew behind the cameras we were joined by: Jake Murton - Director Rafael Barbosa - Graphics Simon Nunn - Audio Benito Marlay - Floor Manager Catherine Greenway - Production Assistant Tom Ferguson - Stream Engineer Then from High Viz Media (Group) Ltd on the camera team: James Costas - Camera Tech Rebecca Green - PTZ Operator Neil Davis - Camera Operator Of course it wouldn't have been so much fun to work on without the great cast from the World of Warcraft scene of Meeix, Preach, MrGM, AresLPS, KDRkitten After day 1, we then repeated it all over again in German! If you missed the live show, go and watch it now, it's 2 hours of laughs that you won't regret! https://lnkd.in/eMiaiV9j #broadcast #production #twitch #setdesign #cooking #livestream 📸 Valentin Georgescu

  • Last week was a busy week for High Viz from rubbing shoulders with stars on the red carpet for a prestigious awards ceremony to cooking up a storm helping our friends for the horde! We started the week off once again assisting Chubb deliver their town hall to all of their employees across the world. 📹 For Chubb’s bi-annual global internal broadcast, we delivered a seamless flypack and staging deployment, complete with 3 Sony Channel Cameras on Vinten Osprey pedestals ensuring the gravitas and quality this high-profile event demands. 🌍 Having partnered with Chubb for several years, it’s always a privilege to provide full production support and see their message resonate across their worldwide offices. 🏙️ For the final time, the iconic London City Skyline, with sunlight reflecting off The Gherkin, served as a stunning backdrop (though maybe a bit dazzling for our camera operators!). As Chubb prepares to move to a new location, we’re excited to discover and frame their next chapter with another breathtaking backdrop. Stay tuned for what’s next! 🔜 Thank you as always to our wonderful crew, Luminosity Lighting & ON24 for helping deliver this flawless broadcast! 📧 Drop us a message if you want to hear what we can do for you? #Broadcast #Production #Video

  • We recently supported BBC Scotland in delivering facilities for this years 'The Sky at Night Question Time Special'. We used our Little Pod to support production, offering a full gallery outside of the University of East London’s beautiful Stratford Campus. Working with our partners at Ethos Audio and Luminosity Lighting, we produced a fascinating show which ran alongside the British Science Festival. Special thanks to Richard Stevenson, who provided his support in the run up to this project as well as his experience from his undertaking of it in years past. It was a real pleasure to work with the Sky At Night team for our second successive year and look forward to continuing the legacy of delivering the BBC’s longest running television show in the future!

A lovely adventure over to Sweden 🇸🇪 for our crew and a van full of our kit! Two identical sets to allow seamless (comical) transitions; a roaming cam covering the party in the lobby and much more in between. This has been one of the most fun and rewarding projects we have worked on! Thanks to Coffee Stain Publishing Coffee Stain Studios Box Dragon for bringing us in and here's to many more in the future!

Not a bad temporary office to work from for today! Last night we wrapped on The Spill; a big Game Dev hangout in Coffee Stain Publishing/Coffee Stain Studios in Skövde, Sweden. High Viz Media (Group) Ltd provided full production, kit, crew and streaming to 12 destinations on 5 different platforms from this amazing building in Sweden. We had 3 sets with a total of 10 cameras, 15 microphones, multiple PCs, sound desks, RF kit etc. and lots and lots and lots of cable to bring it all together. The Spill's broadcast allowed developers from games including *deep breath* Satisfactory, Valheim, Goat Simulator, Deep Rock Galactic, Spell Rogue, Sons of Conquest, Dinolords, Neighbours:Suburban Warfare, As We Descend, Dark Swarm and Nitro Gen Omega to talk casually about their current and upcoming games/projects and future updates all with a lot of fun in between with interactive segments with all 12 chats at once (it wasn't readable most of the time!) as well as the most stupid of transitions between each segment. Big thanks to Sam Deans for bringing the band back together and producing/directing/operating/octopussing the entire show. Mark, James & Rafael for their amazing work on site, Rob for his help pre-prod and remotely, - Nick Collier for his emotional support through the carnet and customs processes! And thanks to Karl Bergström for bringing everything together and 💩 Snutt Treptow for hosting, helping produce and being an amazing guide for everything around this lovely office. You can watch it all back on the-spill.com where there are some bundle deals available with 15% off! P.S. Those who follow my Instagram will know about my 27 hour boat trip over here and all the joys of customs and things Brexit have made unnecessarily complicated. (Spoilers it's a 45 hour trip back to my house starting tomorrow!)
