Impact on Relationships: RSD can strain personal and professional relationships, as individuals may misinterpret neutral or ambiguous interactions as negative or rejecting. 4. Coping Mechanisms: People with RSD may develop various coping strategies, such as withdrawing from social situations, seeking constant reassurance, or becoming overly defensive. Understanding RSD is crucial for fostering empathy and support for those who experience it, as their emotional responses may be more intense than those of others in similar situations. What a fantastic week! Yesterday saw a chance to vacate the office and head out to The PA Show #pashow2024. I was thrilled to be a speaker at the event alongside the brilliant Donna Elliott and raise some awareness around neurodiversity and a bit of skill sharing. The talk seemed to resonate given the lovely and encouraging feedback received so far.
